I love that Jake has such rare beautiful plants but also has a wall of lush pothos behind the gorgeous variegated Monstera. It makes me feel less like my collection is not so all over the place. It is hard to explain why a plant personally attracts an individual. I hear a lot of people give up or throw away their more common plants once they get into rarer plants. I also enjoy that he showed the the hacks we all use post photos of plants on IG. It helps people not be too hard on themselves of a plant gets bugs or loses a leaf.

Paula Bollers ...Pothos are my absolute favorites. They are easy and rewarding to grow. A simple silver ann or marble queen will always be one of my favorite plants!

Love that he gave the shout-out to N.C. Siddharth and referred to him saying that he is a "Plant guru & graciously babysits us on several Facebook plant groups." That man is soooo knowledgeable. Love my face book groups. Appreciate seeing Jake's spider mite webs. Thanks again for great content!

i love to hear his relationship to the plants and which ones are his favorite - that there’s not much focus on how expensive and rare they are is refreshing! just the pure love for plants ❤️
@LoulousCorner

I agree! Almost all of my plants are simple common succulent plants. Crassulas, haworthias, aloes, ponytail palm, phal orchids, dracaenas and sansevierias, hoya compacta and of course my variegated Monstera albo... And I must say the common crassulas (jade plants), orchids and hoya all rank higher on my favourite list than my albo... But I love them all!

Talking about inexpensive plants, my favorite one at this moment is an alocasia amazonica which sells at ikea for about 7€. It has put such big leaves, up to 40 cm long, and it is now in flower. It also has grown 2 babies at the base. I mean, this plant has done everything it can do!

Fantastic! I'd love to go shopping in his house! I'm amused at how he complained about the spider mites on the alocasia and yet he put it right back on the shelf with all of the other plants. I guess like he said - the other plants are safe

We're both in a spider mite war and quite a few of our plants are infested. It's kind of difficult to isolate them when the infestation is so pervasive. It's an ongoing battle.

Love the video and all the wonderful assortment of plants that I have learned about! Thank you. I love seeing how people take care of their plants so I can learn as I am a newbie! Watering depends so much on where you live. In Florida we can't let our plants have wet feet. No way! It is too hot and humid here and when or if we get any pests, just put the plant outside and it cures all ills, at least for me. Keep showing these wonderful videos!

Thanks for watching and tuning in! I think one takeaway from these interviews is that there's a lot of ways to do things. Though some things don't work for us for our plants and environment, hopefully it'll let us be more open minded about how others do things. Cheers!

Gorgeous plants! It’s so interesting to know that frydek are spider mite magnets! I have 2 fairly large ones that I’ve been treating on and off for over a year.
