RethinkingVoxels is the perfect mix between Vanilla and Realism, I just wish it was available for major older versions like 1.16.5 Complementary v4 does the job, but it's not as immersive as RethinkingVoxels.

Should be fair to give your opinion with a grain of salt. As some shaders are very old and seen as "complete" like some SEUS shaders for example while other shaders are very young, are missing feature and may content some really bad artifact which are being work on to get those fixed. However you may also critic shaders that have some big visual artifact or bug which are seen as "complete" and will not receive any new update. In my personal testing of a bunch of shaders that have colored lighting, rethinking voxel was by far the best in my opinion touching almost every block you could logically see emit light with great color and quality.

there is literally no way to compare chronos to any other shader, it‘s the most accurate ray tracing in the game and cannot be used for gameplay

i think the biggest win of Bedrock version is that since it's an official implementation of PT it has more information to work of and also can utilize the RT and Tensor in nvidia to give special calls to them( it is also something that Nvidia is doing with their RTX remix which explain why any other RT capable GPU that isn't nvidia gets terrible performance), there are shaders in this video that get close to replication the look of bedrock PT, but it comes at high FPS price which wouldn't happen on bedrock since it could use dedicated hardware RT accelerators

Yep, ray traced shaders on Java have to gather geometry data in the shader itself while bedrock can upload it from the cpu application code directly. However, there is potential for a mod to be able to set up ray tracing just like bedrock, even letting amd use their rt cores. It would have to be a custom rendering mod alternative to Iris and optifine. I might be interested In making it myself someday… :)

How do I install SEUS PTGI GFME?, it says on the GitHub page that I gotta put both ptgi 2.1 and gfme in the same path, I don't know how to do that

Put the zip file from the original hrr and the jar file on the shaderpacks folder, then double click the jar file and it'll automatically add a copy of hrr with gfme configs

@@bitonic589 the difference between a Voxel shader and a Raytraced shader is that a voxel shader calculates lighting and stuff based on voxels while raytraced shaders do …raytracing
