AMAZING Guide! I've always been a bit afraid of DYNDOLOD and everything that comes with it, but this time i thought to myself that i'd give this a go and that i would really take my time and be patient following your guide. I did everything exactly as you explained it, step by step EXCEPT disable any other mod patches / updates and ordinate the loads order and it worked out just fine with skipping those steps, thought i'd mention this to anyone else who's trying this huge installation process. BIG THANKS for this video you're the man! PS: Love the slow and informing step by step you took in making this video, made me feel more secure with doing this and i hope you will remember reading this and keep following that path. The comforting and lovely music you've added the entire video is also a really big like on my part. Looking forward to installing something else in the future maybe even more complicated than this installation process but you really made it well and informative. Huge thanks again! Love it!

WazaLang-Well it's 2021 and I finally installed DynDolod thanks to you! I can't believe how awesome Skyrim looks now. I'm running an i7-6700/gtx1070/32g ram and I am loosing a few frames about 5-10 in the outside thick areas but I guess that's to be expected with so much flora and trees. Hope you've been good and I look forward to seeing your 2021 build!!

UPDATE!! Green and Lush Aspen Trees has been updated so when installing choose 3D Static LOD. Always leave pre-generated tree lod blank. Choose Green Fallen Leaves if you want green leaf textures on ground around Riften. If you like your aspens red then choose Autumn Leaf Colors but again....leave Billboards Blank! Dyndolod will be creating those for us. Cheers!

it is faster but sometimes its ideal, having to sit through multiple hour long tutorials of various quality from different creators especially if you're only stuck on one bit is hell so I'm glad both exist

I have yet to successfully generate Ultra tree LODs. After months of trying to understand the RTFM manual, I still get morphing tree LODs... I'm using Myrkvior and TreesAddon with Vortex so I'm reallllly hoping that enough of this is transferrable but I've got to say just watching this... the calm and straightforward manner in which you present this tutorial is awesome! At no point did I feel like this was over my head so... kudos! I will update with my progress. Fingers and toes crossed... edit: success! A few small tweaks for the different tree mods but it looks amazing! Praise Talos!

I already finished my tree setup but I still watched the full tutorial lol. You really do make the best tutorials, especially for people who are experiencing modding for the first time. I just wanted to add, if someone wants a higher quality texture for pine trees but doesn’t like the fact that the retexture you used in the tutorial is darker than the regular vanilla texture, there is a mod called Vanilla HD Tree Branches on the Nexus which basically upscales the default texture so it isn’t so blurry and bad quality.

Hi very nice guide here, it was very clear & helpful, my Skyrim SE looks very nice now. I did run into some problems with the newer Enhanced Vanilla Trees files though. Occasionally I would get bright light blue tree trunks (missing textures), this issue was seemingly random and often quite rare. I have (now) tried twice to get this to work, I tried once with Large Custom trees file with the billboards file, and then just the normal file on it's own with the same results. To fix the issue I had to untick Enhanced Vanilla Trees (and the billboards file if used) in the left hand pane in Mod Organizer 2.

Just a tip for everyone as lazy as me: You can make TexGen and DynDOLOD Output their stuff directly into an empty folder in your MO2 mods folder. You'll just have to reload MO2 before each step.

Installed everything exactly described and I am getting some tree pop in when some change from the LOD to the actual tree. Not sure if was expected or not, perhaps I missed something. Either way even with a little pop in its looks awesome!

@@WazaLang Thanks for the reply again brother. Are you open to sharing your tweaks? I love the look you have gone for, especially that marvellously clean panning shot at the end of your vid. I've tried Picturesque as you've suggested before. It has a charming painterly aesthetic and looks fantastic from a distance, but I eventually went back to mythical because it looks sharper, much like your setup. There's also a new enb called eVx that is customizable with different LUT options; brings some really nice results especially on character skin, but is a bit dark on the macro level and requires some tweaking.

I literally spent 2 full days playing around with settings...trying to figure out what did what and what was the best way to get the look I was after. The last time I followed one of your videos to install ultra trees and dyndolod in my Skyrim SE was in 2019. I haven't redone my dyndolod in so long that a lot of the mods you point to in this video are already out of date. Except for Reach Tree Replacer. That's the one mod that hasn't been updated in all this time. One less thing for me to have to download I guess. lol

Hey Waza, I've been using your Ultimate Trees Guide 2020 and it's amazing. I saw you have an updated video which showcases Skyrim 3D Trees and Plants with DynDOLOD. Not sure if you can make a guide on that as from what I see on the Nexus comments page there's some issues with 3D Trees with DynDOLOD, and its also incompatible with other tree mods (like EVT) and Enhanced Landscapes too.

I have a question. After generating the textures and then I run Dyndalod, I was aiming for 2k settings. This proved to be too high even for my 3060ti. My goal is to maintain 45fps or higher outside. I'm lowering my settings as we speak and I'll try again (it just takes forever). Anyone got any recommended resolution size? I see 3 drops downs where I can pick 3 resolutions.

I have a redundancy problem in loot with the dyndolod.esm which requires dyndolod.esm as the master. I had already done a lod with textgen and the first time it didn't give me any problems. I removed all previous esm and esp and cleaned the cache. Did I miss something?

Just curious, how much VRAM does your Skyrim use out of the 11GB that you have in your 1080Ti? I'm running an RTX 2080 and I'm saturating the 8GB with only 2K textures, albeit with a lot of town overhauls etc.

Looks very beatiful. Do you know how many FPS this tree/Dyn-setup takes? I’m done with all my graphic mods except trees and Dyndolod. I have Northern Grass, Origins Of Forest and Immersive Fallen Trees + a lot of different plant mods. I’m running Rudy ENB with Cathedral Weathers and I’m down to approx 56-66 FPS when I’m running around in the forest. Do you think I have “room” for a couple of tree mods and Dyndolod? If its possible i would love to stay at +45 fps.

In DynDOLOD, you only select "Tamriel". Is it unneccessary to select the other files? Most guides say to select all. Also, when I run my game (I had the lod's generated at -3 brightness) the trees that load into the scene (full model) have a different (darker) colour than the LOD trees, so that appears as a kind of flickering effect. Anything I can do about this? (not using an ENB, using "enhanced vanilla trees".

How did you get your distant tree lods to look dark? My biggest frustration with DynDOLOD is that the distant LOD trees are bright and ugly. I used Enhanced Vanilla Trees and would rather use a darker option for the pines but the lods are so bright and ugly and don't match. I read that lowering the brightness in DynDOLOD actually ignores the brightness on LODs for 3D trees, so I am stuck picking bright ugly pines that match the lods to keep myself sane. I do use an ENB and Obsidion weathers, I've done the research and everyone says I need to edit the .nif file for the DynDOLOD trees but...I have looked and can't even find it/ wouldn't know how to edit it anyway.

During process i got a lot of over write confirmation on dyndolod resources mod with nexus mod manager comminuty edition .. in the video i didn't see any overwrite ..is it normal ?

What other texture mods are you using in conjunction with what's provided in the guide? I want to try to improve my game visually including JKs mods to keep as vanilla as possible. It seems that lod for noble skyrim, or DynDOLOD doesn't work well with it.

Tried again, followed guide step by step. Works fine, only thing I see now is that tree trunks are white/yellow, while tree models have dark trunks. Any way to fix this?

Much appreciated. Had the TexGen/DynDOLOD procedure down from previous experience but... wanted a lot more variety in my Skyrim trees. Kept the golden brown Whiterun tundra look though. Followed your download order, looks fantastic!!!! Also using Really Blended Roads, Better Dynamic Snow, Fluffy Snow and Better Dynamic Majestic Mountains. It's really quite stunning! Firemanaf's ReEngaged ENB preset with Obsidian weathers.

Quick question - are you getting a lot of tree pop-ins for the added trees in the tundra? Even after I run dyndolod there are many of those trees that pop in when ugrids load the cells they're in. Which is weird considering they all have billboards or 3d lods. I am updating the atlas when i run dyndolod.

Hey! I've managed to get the trees looking pretty good (thanks for the great video!) The billboards look nice and the transition when you get close is not that jarring. However I've noticed that it only draws in a certain amount of trees in the distance depending on what way i'm going. So if I turn back to the area I came from it's just a blank space of green "grass" texture, and when I start walking back the trees pop in. Is this something I just need to accept or Is there something wrong here? :)

If you're planning on making a 2022 guide that covers Dyndolod 3 I hopy you can find a way to leave out enhance landscapes this time. I hate that mod. I get it, I love the lush green Whiterun valley too but that mod just adds way to much other stuff in other places that causes way too many terrain conflicts with other mods. The Inigo follower mod for example; Langley's shack is completely encased in a big giant rock that enhanced landscapes stuck on the mountainside for "Reasons" (I don't know). Pretty much any mod you have that adds any kind of structure whether it's a player home or just a shack in the woods from some quest mod, the odds are you're gonna find some big rock clipping through it. And that's not to mention those little pebble clusters that are so obviously the exact same cluster of five pebbles copied and pasted over and over again thousands of times. That's really jarring and does not add to but detracts from the game and putting up with all of that is just not worth it just to get the green ground under the grass in Whiterun valley no matter how much I might want that.

The mods used here, are they an updated load from the 2020 'Perfect Vision - LITE' 100 Mods video? I tried to not override too much, but I don't know if that list is now outdated after this current video. I believe after mod number 91 in the list that is when it goes different than in this current video.

This video is outstanding as well as your particular setup. Was wondering if you are considering making an updated/new video for DynDOLOD 3 (if you are using 3). Not only have new mods come out and some may no longer be available but a new vid for DynDOLOD 3 would certainly be appreciated by many.

there is not one setting for LOD brightness in the DynDoLOD advanced tab that actually applies to the generated LOD. As a consequence all my trees beyond load grid are insanely bright and transition to dark color drastically. I have been fighting this for over a month and now im getting pissed. Can somebody explain to me why i cannot darken this tree lod? Can someone explain to me why the generate tree LOD box is uncheckable in DynDoLOD . Has anybody else who has followed this guide to a T somehow magically not experienced what i am talking about?

Hi Wazalang! Enhanced Vanilla Trees has made some changes. The Billboards are now a bit of an issue with this mod. Please can you take a look and advise? It seems the Billboards are integrated into the mod itself which makes a mockery of the rule of putting LODS at the end of a load order when LOOT does its own thing. Thank you!

Great video! Having a small texture glitch though. I see tiny specks of the branches floating about a meter away from the rest of the branch on many of the pine trees. I thought it might be the TreePineForestBranch 8K mod, but I disabled it, reran texgen and dyndolod, but I still see the specks. anyone else have this issue?

Great video, very clear, no bull crap info, no annoying voice. Fantastic. I just wanted to know why you decided not to use the Trees in Cities mod ? Is that just personal preference. And also why don't you install mods form the downloads tab ? I'm not an expert modder BTW, but noticed you open the mods from that button.

Hey Waza I noticed on the Enhanced Vanilla Trees page it now says "Enhanced Landscapes - install EVT after Enhanced Landscapes and let EVT overwrite file conflicts. Users will need to generate their own LODs." Would you still recommend installing Enhanced Landscapes after EVT? I'm not sure what the impact is.

Can you make an updated video? Blubbos mods are gone, and the Billboards for Enhanced Vanilla trees can no longer be installed like you did it. And it is required to use the newer version of Dyndolod where TexGen looks much more complicated and TexGen seems to be either way outdated. In the newer version of Dyndolod I can change the Tree LOD - it's not grayed out, if I deselect it, I can not any more change the LOD brightness. There have been a lot of changes.

hey got a problem when i dont use dyndolod i can see the trees in whiterun while staying outside, but when i generate 3d ultra trees with dyndolod i cant see the trees in whiterun anymore while staying outside of it, guess thats a problem with blubbos trees?

Dude this is awesome! first i try using 2k res and the game stucks on 10 fps haha, i revert to 512 and works fine, i never figure out how to use this tools, by tks to you now its like now i see a new world, i was blind before haha i aways use the enb dof to hiden the lod but now i just put a color correction from reshad and its fine, i have more performance after all, tks now i subscrive in your chanel grate job and greetings from Brazil!

Awesome guide! Thanks so much for this. My game looks great besides the trees, and now they look freaking awesome. Quick question, why not select all the worldspaces in the top left box when running DYNDOLOD? I've always done that in the past. Will me selecting them all mess this process up?

It won't, except I guess if you have additional mods that add more worlds, but also it depends what mods you have, it could work or it could not

For some reason I cant get the SFO Snowy Pine LODs to work. Snowy pines in the far distance are the vanilla snowy pines models, not the SFO ones, no matter how often I rerun Dyndolod. :( I think it's LOD16? I don't know why this happens.

I'm having a miniature panic attack because I don't wanna screw anything up. I've been modding my game all day, and I'm still relatively new to the modding scene (finally bought SE YESTERDAY!!!!) so I could use some minor assistance. You're going to have to tell me if its okay or not that I still only use NMM for all my mod handling, because I'm not sure whats right or wrong anymore. The reason I say this is because I can't seem to find anywhere that I can enable my own executable file such as you did using MO2 for "TexGen". In NMM, TexGen doesn't appear in the list of executable programs that I can enable... so a couple questions. #1 do i simply need MO2 because thats fine, but #2 will it wipe my data from NMM or not carry over? Will I just sort of use both of them? Any assistence from ANYBODY would be appreciated. I really wish I could have someone beside me for all of this... Im stressed XD
