Vera MS3 exactly lol only vtec on intake cam.... weakest performance k series motor lol but honda knew what they were doing...anyhow it was designed like the 24a2 it would’ve been a factory freak

matthew petteway they do it cuz if u shift when its bouncing your rmps are gonna drop alot more in the next gear

matthew petteway they ride the limiter because of tire spin.. if they shifted out of said gear they were spinning in, one: either the car would continue spinning the wheels and they would get no traction, two: the wheels would bite slamming everything under an extreme bind and breaking something, or 3: any acceleration they were gaining would be lost due to the engine not having a high enough rpm to keep within vtec or the powerband of the engine.. i know this because a buddy of mine had a turbo eg9 hatch making 440 to the wheels. first time he launched example 2 happened going from 2nd to 3rd.. and he sheared the cv shafts clean apart.
