The main problem with Captain of Diamonds is that he's made completely useless simply by not using minions. With your reasoning, Finley isn't a defensive hero either because he might hit the non-buffed heroes when attacked with a hero like Brynhild, which sounds rather trippy now given that he was a meta wing alongside a Vela flank at a time where non-rainbow defenses were anything but the standard. 6:21 There are literally like 10 decent damage-dealing healers. 6:54 ...except she's still going to heal half of the time. Aegir, Kunchen, Guin, Telluria, Garnet, BK, Bera, Freya, Xnol, M&M, Waterpipe, Myoin-ni, Hathor, Hawthorn have all been either the best or one of the best tanks at some point and none of them do significant damage. Instead, what they do is enable the flanks to destroy the team by giving them survivability, speeding them up, boosting their attack, something like that. Damage-focused tanks (the only exception I can think of being Ursena) only became a thing when CPanther came out because that was the first hero threatening enough to destroy a team by themselves. 16:30 Hannah was literally a Top 5 purple tank when she came out... Like I don't think she's a particularly good tank anymore, but the atk down is definitely not a bad fit for a tank. 17:40 If most people in an alliance don't have a lot of the newer heroes, I can pretty much guarantee you that at least 10 people (assuming a full alliance) won't have Cyprian's second costume. 19:14 Mielikki, Brynhild, Kitty and CCRigard are great 4* tanks as well
This is great, I'm gonna pin this one. If people don't have C2 Cyp, they could run Azmia or Ferrant. They're not the same color, but they pose the same problem for those non meta alliances. To your point regarding the meta tanks; you're right, however...I have never had any trouble taking out teams with those tanks. The toughest tanks for me are Nix, Jove, Hurricane, Bassett, and Aramis. Those tanks you mentioned allow for board correcting, which means the world (especially with my heroes). I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying my experience has been different. 🙃👎---> 👍🙂
@@sdinaro1 I've never had any problems with Kunchen or Aegir, but their time was before I started playing and they're tiledumps nowadays. I have struggled against Guin at times, but I didn't have a lot of good heroes or skill back then. I didn't really have a huge problem with Telluria, even before any of the nerfs. Garnet is a special one because she was never actually the best tank in the game, she just happened to be part of the Ninja family, which meant that with Onyx and Cobalt in the team as well, she was the best of the passive 5* Ninjas and got into the meta defenses because of that, at least until Odin came out and BK with Frigg and Odin flanks became the meta. That constellation was disgusting for a while (although people overhyped the damage, which is a trend that has been going on ever since) until Bera came out and Vanaheim tanks became the next big thing. People eventually adjusted to that. S4 came out, Elizabeth was the new meta tank (I don't even remember what I thought of her at the time lol), a few months passed, Xnol came out, took the meta by storm, was nerfed and replaced by M&M. M&M was really good, but I don't think the nerf was justified, at least not this much of a nerf. Waterpipe was crazy for 1 month, then Lunar heroes came out, but I don't have either of those, so he's still a really difficult tank for me. As I don't have Alucard, Ogima, Grimble etc either, Hulda is also really difficult to me btw. After the M&M nerf, some of the top alliances had like 40+ CPanthers while others used Jove and Anne, the latter of which turned out to be better. 3 months ago, Musketeers appeared for the 2nd time, Aggressive chased Aramis, won a war against 7DD because of it (and their infamous Zoom calls) and everyone realized that they'd completely slept on him in December. 2 weeks ago, GD beat 7DD with Myoin-ni tanks. Throughout that storyline, I've mostly struggled against the overhealer tanks (Pre-nerf M&M, Aramis, Myoin-ni and Hathor) because I don't have a lot of heroes who can deal with that. CHel and Khepri are tanks that I've had and still have my issues with and I remember the one time a Khonshu tank wrecked me, but they're not as bad. Hurricane is fine to me because I can get going before him or let him fire into Shrubbear a lot of the time. Jove is good, but I don't face him that much as a tank because everyone runs purple tanks and he's pretty rare anyway. Bastet can be annoying, but I can deal with her. Nyx is good, but she's even more effective at flank or wing because of her passive.
@@sdinaro1 If I got Aradia, I'd honestly be kind of annoyed... I already had to pause leveling Asterius to level Flip and then pause leveling Flip to level Serandite, I have enough red heroes lol

Regarding dispel, ceadmon dispells even if he kills him self. It’s true he does them in order but all the effects land. Why haven’t you put the nod 20 on c-kong? He charges in 8 tiles instead of 9 if you have a 29 magic troop ore say lvl 27 styx troop. That’s a fore match and a 3 match and hitting the dragon.
That is good to know about the dispel! I'm waiting for a golden emblem before I finish him. The 250 is just too many and I'm running really low on all emblems 👍
