Good review!! this answers some questions. There isn't much out there in between a wimpy small gimbals that barely handle a cell phone(with no case!), and the bigger models like the cranes. This is cool because it can handle a larger phone with case (I have an XS max) but also smaller mirror less cameras (I have an X-T20) ... at least I think it will from what I'm seeing here!?!? I bought a Crane Plus to make sure I can take care of my X-T20 and furture larger cameras, but I'd love to have a lighter option that can run it, and at the very least hold my large phone with case! ....I think I need this! trying to up my game on my flying channel! thanks again, well done review
Awesome review Chris! You convinced me to purchase one. I needed a small gimbal that would work with both the Sony RX 100V and Sony A6500 + 16mm setup.
This is the most helpful review of the G6 Plus I've watched, thanks! Feiyu's website also says this adjusts the focus? Is this wireless or only with a follow focus system? Thanks!
Would it be worth filmmaking, shortfim shoot with canon sl2 with 24mm pancake (1kg) as compare to crane/ronin. Footage smoothness top priority rather than function. Thanks.
Awesome review man! Do you think it'll be fine with A6300 and the 15-105? that one is quite a bit longer then the 10-18mm you tried out. worried about the balance.
I just started to watch review but there was a special thing that must be also deserved to comment and appreciate. INTRO man! Awesome, the scenes and creativity before getting gimbal on the table!
Have you had a chance to compare to the Zhiyun Crane M2? Looking to decide between the two for someone just delving into video;looking for a compact small gimbal I can throw in a bag and go w my a6000
Hey Chris, great video. I had a question regarding if the gimbal still fits in the case fine after being calibrated. Meaning, do you have to loosen any of the adjustments in order for it to fit properly, or can it retain those adjustments and fit fine? I ask because I have the Zhiyun Crane M and with it, I have to either reset the adjustments so it fits in the case, OR, not use the case. It makes it a bother to use and would prefer to just be able to store it in the case, pull it out, and not need to recalibrate it each time. Appreciate the additional insight. Thanks! :)
By the way, I watched this video about 10 times while I was waiting for my bargain flash sale gimbal and I'm a bit gutted now as it seems to be an awesome gimbal. I'll have to start saving up for a real G6 plus instead of a scam ad rip off £2 tripod. Thanks for the upload anyway, and I have just subbed you as your videos are cool :)
Excellent video. Thanks so much! Tried to use your affiliate link, but no luck. I'm based in UK. (tho i may get a used one on ebay so not to hurt the butterflies in my wallet as much
One of the reasons why I want to get this is the Elbow location. The Elbow of my DJI Osmo Mobile 2 is always on the camera if I am using the Wide Angle Lens. of my LGV30. yay and its soooo cheap.
@@pinoytechdad yes, i got the g6 plus for a6400 but still saving up for 30mm and 16mm. I think its gonnna work well with it. Still waiting feiyu will update the firmware for a6400 for camera control
I would say so. It supports small cameras, phones, and some action cameras. Note, I have an action camera that isn't compatible with the gimbal (Eken). By that, I mean that I can not use the gimbal buttons. I still can use it for stabilization however. I'd check Ebay first to see if you can save.
@@ChristopherBurress oh sorry wrong lens ... you got 10-18mm f4 which total of 600+grams. But your ar2 and it lens surpasses the weight limit because it has a total of 1kg+
It surpasses the weight limit but stays fairly compact which allows for reasonable balancing and decent gimbal performance. Longer lenses that you cannot balance as well don't work at all with this gimbal.
If you mount the go pro on the plate further out and you don’t need any counter weights. Mine works fine there great video I purchased this straight after watching this
your background music is too loud and creates kind of "elevator" atmosphere. Video would have been much better without any background music. i nearly fell a sleep. compromise would have been lower volume and more fitting music. beside that. thanks for you demo.
i watched this a few days ago & have just bought a Feiyu G6 Plus gimble... thank you Chris ... ive got a 6500 & a a7riii so this looks perfect for what I need ,& it was important it was light weight & travel friendly...
Hello, nice video, what about the cellphone? I bought this gimbal buf until now i couldnt find a way to connect its functions to thr cellphone camera, even though i have already the feiyu app installed, i mean to control my cellphone camera from the gimbal buttons, now whT i do is turning on the cell camera from the screen ... It***, help please 😅😋
do you think this gimbal would be able to hold a small DSLR that's under the payload? cuz i have a Conon SL2 and I am trying find out some affordable gimbals and i felt like this would be the best one
I heard the servo motors when you had the GoPro. Can you hear the servo motors when you use the onboard microphones with the cameras you used? Also, some say it's only 1 axis. Is this true? Thanks man.
A real world review. Thanks. It's odd that it didn't even like the smaller Sony RX camera, but it didn't mind you going over the stated payload limit of 800 grams with the Sony A7III plus lens and microphone.
Thanks for making this amazing video Chris. This is the best video on this gimbal on RU-vid. It helped me to decide and pick up one for my Sony a6400. Very thorough and detailed.
your video quality is among the best here on youtube...May you please make a video on how you make your videos.. ;), exposure, picture profile, equipment and color grade pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I have this gimbal on order (now $137 US on ebay). I have a Canon M50 and love clogging with the Sigma 16mm 1.4 and Rode micro. Can not wait to see how it does. The body is a few oz's less than the Sony A7, so should be interesting. Have a big ole Moza Air now; my God that thing is BIG (probably headed for OfferUp)!
ShaeLynn Allred if weight is most important for you you can agree with some motor shake (some times). If you want butter smoothie cinematic picture - best way to take more heavy and strong gimbal. Big weight reduces up-down shake also.
This may be a dumb question given you showed an A7R2 with a sigma lense, but do you think the gimbal can hold a Sony A6400 with the sony 18-105 lense on there?
Naaahh I'm sorry but for me I can't recommend this gimbal coz I have this and it went uncontrollable crazy movements without any reason. I bought a new zhiyun crane M and it is much better than Feiyutech G6 Plus.
im confused. The g6 plus says the max weight is 800g. but with that sony a7 ii and lens combination you exceed that. i totally want this gimbal now but will i mess it up with my own 830 g weight?
You think it'll work with the Fujifilm XT-100? It's fairly light with the kit lens 🤔. I found a great as deal for this gimbal. For only around 155 bucks! 8,500 pesos in the Philippine. Such a great deal
