A few of them are! Namely, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong 3, Mario Bros. and Vs. Super Mario Bros., and even Urban Champion, to name a few! I would say don’t get your hopes up on Sheriff, but also don’t give up on it, because even Sky Skipper is on Arcade Archives, and that’s even rarer than Sheriff! Fun fact - Hamster got the rom for Sky Skipper from the dedicated cabinet in Nintendo’s warehouse in Washington, which contains the only original Sky Skipper board that was never converted to any other game. All the rest were converted to Popeye after its mediocre test run.
At about 04:20, I totally recognise that music from the Onett arcade in EarthBound. So I guess Sheriff WAS acknowledged in a game before Smash Bros after all!
Very jealous. There was a skating rink in my town that had an arcade room back in the day. The games I remember most fondly are Dig Dug, Frogger, and, of course, Donkey Kong Junior.
That's an awesome collection. One of your best videos yet Alex! I would love to see more of this type of video showcasing rare artefacts from Nintendo's history and the people who collect them :) Nintendo Life
+Samurai Nihon If you ever find out, I am dying to know too. No matter how hard I search, I can't seem to find it. There must be a full version of it somewhere.
