Today we look at the Rollin Light LED Recessed Wafer Lights with Night Light and I show you how to install them. If you have wanted to install some recessed lights or canned lights but were afraid to do it, I will show you how easy it is to do. We'll be looking at the Rollin Light recessed lights that are ultra thin and super easy to install. These are also known as can lights, wafer lights, down lights, and pot lights, but they are all the same thing. These lights also have an easy to use built in Night Light mode. They are also dimmable and adjustable in many ways to make the lighting in each room suit your needs. These lights are ultra thin and flush mounted. They are IC rated and thermally protected so they can come close to insulation and can be used in damp areas. You don't even need attic access to install them as I will show you. They also come with a 5 year warranty and 6 lights in this pack making them very durable and affordable.

Thank you for this excellent presentation. Would appreciate a long-term follow-up re: functional reliability, lack of dimmer-related buzzing/flickering, etc. Thanks again. 👍

No problem. I'll keep you posted if anything goes awry with them. I'm installing them at my mother's house so, if my mother complains, I'll hear about it and you'll hear about it! 🤣

@@ModernDIYProjects Thanks. You're a good son to do that for your mom, I was full-time caregiver for mine who passed away a week before this past Christmas at the age of 96, following a rough 3 weeks of hospitalization. Thanks again for your channel and helpful product reviews.

Thank you for the nice step by step presentation. I just have a question- maybe you did say it but I didn’t get it. Can you control the different lighting by the recessed lighting? Or do you have to take down the ceiling lights to manually do it all the time? Thank you!

Question, I just had my bathroom remodeled and we had a wafer led light installed above the shower but it doesn’t have the night light and I really need to replace it with one that does. Do I have to replace the box as well as the light or can I plug into the existing little box?

Maybe. I can't say for certain without seeing it to see if it is compatible or not. But that is not a big deal. It is super easy to change out the box for the one that comes with this one and that way you are 100% set properly. I showed how to do it in the video.

First time doing electrical here, if I’m using 12/2 romex my ground is my copper wire my grey is power and white is neutral?

If you are using 12/2 that means that you only have 2 wires in the romex. I assume these three wires you are referring to are coming from the house box. If that is the case then most of the time the Black or Grey will be power, and white will be neutral. The green or bare copper should always be ground. BUT I would test this with a meter because you don't blindly want to assume this is correct. Someone may have been there before you, been sloppy and mixed up the wiring. So test the power first to make sure that your assumption is correct. Also with 12/2 you will not have any ground to deal with because you only have hot and neutral in the romex.

What voltage the box produces? Can't find the actual low voltage.

The only thing the manual says is 120V going in, and output is 13W. Does not say an output Voltage. Using an online calculator I came up with .886V. So less than 1V operating Voltage.

How can we run these on 220-240 volts
@ModernDIYProjects
@ModernDIYProjects 8 месяцев назад
When you place the order they will send you the appropriate voltage for your region. Most of the world is 220V, only North America is 110V, so there is nothing you need to do to get the 220V version of this kit.
