I love that this level further cements the idea that Heresy is a mostly normal, fully functioning society with working infrastructure, but everything is RED and DARK and GOTHIC and METAL and the residents just don't gaf anymore.
I’ve always wondered where the hell the souls are in Heresy since we never see them, but if this is actually how it actually is, I’m not complaining. That’s funny asf
@@ashlikesharks this level editor, known as Tundra is a early access version of it where only certain creators can access it, it will most likely release to the public when the full game is complete.
The Prime Sanctums are basically Ultrakill's DLC. Instead of going "hey give us your money and we'll give you a funky new level" they say "have this funky level, but you have to earn it."
absolutely LOVED the haunting quiet stillness of the ending eye. just staring down at you like it’s casting judgement- a demon in its boredom and you’re the entertainer. a whole “SHOW ME WHAT YOU CAN DO, MACHINE.” kind of thing was also really awesome to see Sharpshooter get to shine even more impeccably than usual- some of those shots were absolutely incredible! awesome map.
It’s very nice to see how well this level is balanced around the sharpshooter, especially that last room in the alternate route. Good to see more Heresy as well, such a nice looking layer that I wish had more levels in it.
@@januszpolak254 P-1 still had Gluttony's theming, in the case of the spinal staircase and the fleshy arena. Still, you are right in the case that P-2 is a whole gauntlet, therefore giving you more time to look at the Heresy theme.
I would like to remind you all that these tools have only so far been given to a small potion of the playerbase so far and we already have people making stuff like this.
THIS IS AMAZING. Stuff like this always makes me appreciate heresy’s aesthetics more somehow. Gotta love how all the normal map elements have been turned red (checkpoints, jump pads, etc.) really makes it more cohesive as a whole imo.
im very glad to have been a part of this community for so long that this is the kind of thing people are pushing to create for non-official levels. i so wish this was playable
What if Heresy had 4 levels like the other layers instead of 2? Answer: Perfection. Now I wish that was the case... with this being the third level with the alternate paths kinda thing
Bruh this level is absolutely evil, talking about that room with the lava ceiling lmao. I love the indoors sections, especially the radiant virtue room.
More Heresy? More Altars of Apostasy? More RED? You're practically spoiling me. I'll be patiently waiting for when the level editor comes out to play this 👍
Fucking phenomenal. The secret path's level design gives me Ghostrunner vibes in the best way Heresy is by far my favorite level aesthetically and for something with no custom assets (i think?) this shit gets an A+ from me easy
Very cool! The whole layout of the level almost reminds me of a more standard boomer shooter, with its tighter corridors and decoration. Plus, that final room that calls back to Gluttony is really cool!
I could imagine the final part of the alternate route having you slide down a blood duct like you fight on in the normal route, but in the V2 way. but instead of V2, its 5 mindflayers teleporting around you, and if you can loop sections like the V2 phase 2, that would be the best ending by far! and for the ending, you slide down off an edge and into a blood lake. and theres your exit in the floor
imagine if at the end of every act after 3-2, 6-2 and 9-2 there is a level like this which transitions to the next act that you unlock in some specific way that is either unique to every act or the same throughout the game for every act
I feel like there should be a way to gain reputation for when the ultrakill level editor finally releases, where high-repped level makers become certified and allow for players to filter for them. That way, you can keep playing levels with as much polish as these ones, rather than the "I put 900 mindflayers in a tiny room" level makers. That being said, that might inevitably create a space where once a group of certified level makers are made, people would be discouraged to try out other community levels altogether...
Honestly, we should have those burning coffins give blood and help the player in certain rooms like in 6-1: the red skull pillars are able to be broken to give blood.
After release ultrakill is gonna be like doom 1 or doom 2 even though doom1/2 don't have a lot of fans and are basically dead the modding community us still huge imagine what ultrakill is gonna be like
0:25 average sawgun user L, not killing the sentry with the overheat saw and needing to turn around, should have just shot 'em with any other gun or an overheat nailgun.
I love this. This fleshes out Heresy and the city of Dis even more! Though I have no idea how one would go about doing the challenge you gave this level.
