Hi John, the vid tells you the gear I use, rod 7g, tiny reel, and 4lb braid (Stren Microfuse) with a fluoro leader 5lb, the best lure is a 5g silver wedge, from China, get them off ebay! Love it! Good luck!

People complaining about breaking poles need to learn to set their drag on real and not force the fish in. Even though reel us cheap, rod stood up to the test. I am going to get another one for my GF, so we both can have fun bring in big fish with this rod*
