Had Tsuburaya do more research on the American movie/TV studios at the time, and gave 3 times more than a measly US$4 million to a well-known big budget major studio than an unknown miniscule budget newbie studio (Major Havoc), Ultraman Powered would have been a bigger hit than Mighty Morphing Power Rangers (no, it's not MMPR's fault that causes Ultraman Powered to get cancelled after 13 episodes).

If I recall, the director upon seeing Powered's fights in his show, decided to give Powered a Sumo based moveset.

@Asian Pride Great was a bit better than Powered as Powered suffered from troubled production from the same studio that produced Robot Holocaust B-movie, and executive meddling.

That’s the reason why the fights were so slow. The creators took pride in the props department and their creations so they tried to avoid damaging them as much as possible

It was rather realistic however it came with a downsides as the suit were fragile, hence why the fight are lackluster. Powered suit were however were most fragile of all as they have to make new batches if the suit were damage during the fight scenes.

@@brandonvortex995 I wouldn't have expected Powers suit to be the worst offender. That suit always looked more durable than the monsters due to minimal pokey bits. Then again, it does seem to be a more foam like material which I could see tearing and ripping

@@thelonesurvivor3370 I've only seen it that way in the first episode of Powered, and it looks like it's from blocking the Baltan's attack. The rest of the time he just shoots like the original. 2:09. Very hard to notice. The green circles surrounding his color timer lighted up (white ring) right before he fired his Mega Specium Beam, just like in ep 1.

Ive always notice how slow Powered is compared to other Ultramans but it gives that feelling that he is a giant instead of a dude in a suit bouncing around a bunch of houses

@@steampunk1610 i see…now i know but i kinda like the slow movement not some typical Ultraman we seen in Japan…the camera angle, the props, the effects may not be as good as now but in that time it was awesome… Plus, if you notice the origin suit looks so much better than all the other Ultraman to date, it looks realistic like a bare muscle…less folding…this suit looks so natural, the neck, the shoulder, i mean everything looks perfect to me

The props of the show is super high quality, the monsters actually looked realistic and scared the crap out of me as a kid. You have no idea how relieved i was everytime Ultraman Powered showed up

​@@loafloafreal Yeah right! Those monster really look giant and real, doesn't look like a guy in costume surrounded in miniature buildings. I used to watched the show from a VCD my parents bought when I was 7 because the series not aired on my country. And I never see him again , and then I go crazy when I saw him in Absolute along side Ultraman Ribut which is originally from Southeast Asia which is where I came from, I'm freakout lol . I love how they keep all his signature moves.

@@loafloafreal That's why the fight is so trash but the costume is very remastered but yeah because of that, the fight gonna be so trash because the costume powered use gonna broke when it crash to something too hard, the fight is the only thing that trash but other thing is just great in that original ultraman alternative universe!

​@@rochellle6779 Ohh yeahh, if the costume looks great, its gonna be expensive and since its expensive they are not gonna do rough things to that costume, now it make sense😆! Even I saw Powered in Absolute, the original Powered is still looks better. It looks like Powered is not someone in costume, its his body and those muscles looks real (I keep repeating this to everyone lol) They really know how to hype this to kids. Showing scary real af monsters first, scared every kids watching, and then Powered shows up with that awesome look, so cool to have the chance to experience it the first time. I kinda have that excitement too when watching Ultraman Great series.

Everything about powered is great! His face sculpt, his muscles, his blue coloured eyes like litterally everything about him is great...yes his series was trash and only some of his episodes were good but ya know.. Oh you know what they should reboot his series, well not his designs but his overall series ya know

That is average fans at least....hardcore fans watch at least all series, knows all the ultraman name and monster, collect the figure, know all about ultraman lore and legend...
