In this video we make a detailed anatomical description of the structures related to its innervation. We describe the ultrasound approach to the nerves responsible for the innervation of the foot.
Best presentation on the subject to far. Love the way you display the technique. 7:44 anatomical labeling incorrect: the cross section is after the chiasma crurale (Möller er al Taschenatlas der Schnittbildanatomie.2007, Page 161). The flexor hallucis longus (H) is always the one most proximal to the Achilles tendon and it is still the one with the most muscle fibers. After the flexor digitorum longus (D) has crossed over the flexor tibialis posterior (T) in the chiasma crurale, the flexor digitorum longus (D) lies between the tibialis posterior (T) and the still muscle-bound flexor hallucis longus (H). Thus the labeling should be from medial to lateral/Achilles tendon: Tibialis posterior (T), flexor digitorum longus (D), flexor hallucis longus (H, still muscle)
Great video. A small correction - in the section on deep peroneal nerve ( 13:10 -14:42), Extn digitorum longus and extn hallucis longus are labelled incorrectly. Excuse me if I am wrong!
