Keman Konçertosu/Violin concerto
Ulvi Cemal Erkin (1906-72) was a Turkish composer, and one of the so-called “Turkish Five”, who combined Turkish elements with Western symphonic style of music.
The only violin concerto of Erkin premiered in the inauguration ceremony of the Ankara Opera House by the composer conducting the Presidential Philharmonic Orchestra, with Lico Amar as soloist, on 2 April 1948.
