👍🏻 I still like this marker and can see myself getting one in the next year.Seems to have good power and mid sized. I just bought a crossman SNR (177) as it was 1/2 price on sale at a dealer here in England. Not really a defence tool like my hdr. But a cool looking toy and at 1/2 price I was tempted to buy it.
AFTER DOING MY EXHAUSTIVE TESTING MYSELF , I AM A FIRM BELIEVER IN VALVE BLOCK REMOVAL , CO2 RESTRICTORS AND THE FAMOUS 2 PIECE TUNING BARREL !!! NOW BACK TO MY FAVORITE AMMO FOR THE .68 IS THE GLASS MARBLES , THAT WEIGH AROUND 99 GRAINS , BUY THE 16 MM SIZE MARBLES AND PAINT THEM WITH TWO KINDS OF PAINT SO YOU CAN MAKE SURE YOU GET EVEN COATS . DEPENDING ON WHAT TYPE OF PAINT , IT MAY TAKE 4 TO 10 COATS TO MAKE THE PERFECT TIGHT SIZE... I FIND WHEN I GOT TO REALLY USE A LITTLE STRENGHT TO PUSH THEM INTO THE CYLINDERS ,THEY REALLY WORK THE BEST . THE ONLY TIME I EVER CHIPPED ONE WHEN I SHOT ONE WITH ANOTHER MARBLE LOL . NOW IM ON THE HUNT TO DO THE SAME FOR THE HDR.50 , I THINK 12 MM WOULD BE PERFECT ,AND REQUIRE ABOUT ONLY 4 COATS OF THICK SPRAY PAINT . YOU CAN ALSO USE RUBBER PAINTS .
Yes. Me too. Remove the valveblock and use a long barrel. This gives you max power. I made some of the marbles with rubberpaint some 8 years ago. Some of them has broken, so if I want more I must paint some more marbles. What type of paint do you use? I hang the marbles from a string and dipping them in the rubberpaint. Do you do the same or just let them dry on a pice of baking-paper? Maybe I try that next 🤔
Hi Rune, lets have a big Christmas thank you to Umarex for using removeable restrictors etc. The HDB is worrying my wallet. Better spring needed, Tell Florian.
Ghood video as usual from you my friend. You mentioned while you were decompressing the indicator that if you just unscrew the c02 button with out releasing the pressure you might break something. That's a very important detail. Unfortunately I know that for a fact from experience. Anyways keep up the great work
Thank you my friend. Iam glad you like my videos. Be careful with these Umarex markers. Several people has been hurt badly because the CO2 tube has blown of the markers. Take care and have a great weekend 😃
@@runerebel8441 please could ya do it and if so well I'll get the bell if u do have a good day I might go for a cruise on my minibike if I can get this mikuni vm22 to fire up
I JUST FOUND THE HDX .68 PUMP ACTION 32 JOULE VERSION IN AMERICA FOR 324 DOLLARS ,ITS THE ORNGE BLACK VERSION , IT USES THE 88/90 GRAM CO2 BUT COMES WITH ADAPTER TO USE 2 -- CO2 POWERLETS BUT IT WILL DECREASE POWER THEY STATED !!!
Hello Rune. Thanks for this new video. Before putting the Restrictor on it, did you try the Modify Pin to see if it gained some power? I say this because as in the box of the Modify Pin it says that it also works for the HDB68 in case you had tried it. Greetings and happy new year.
Nice power😁👍 Fun piece indeed 😁👍 Hey Rune...can I ask for advice about arthritis..? Base of thumb on my fretting hand is hurting while playing guitar. Very sharp stabs of acute pain. Ointment or pills...? Any advice I can ask my Dr. for would be appreciated. Aleve is the over the counter stuff I'm using, but...not very effective. Cold temperatures makes it worse of course🙁 😎👍❤🖖 Love Brother 😎👍❤🖖
Thanks brother. Have you tried Ibux? You can buy it over the counter in both pill and cream/ointment. Ibux dampends the inflamation. But use only with food because it can be strong for the stomac. If very painful you can use Prednisolon. Your doctor can fix this for you. I have used this for 25 years now, every day. Plus also injections of it. But I recomend to speak with a doctor if the Ibux dont help. You can also use one Paracet and one Ibux together. It helps me. Good luck brother. Hope you be better soon 😃👍
@@runerebel8441 Thanks Rune. Will try the ointment 1st. Am already on powerful medication for pain since breaking my neck. Lots of arthritis there as well, but will put up with that. But playing guitar is what keeps me sane😉👍 So gotta try to find something that works. Thanks again brother. 😎👍❤🖖 Love Brother
Well done again, Rune. QUESTIONS: Does the HDR68 in the 7 Joule version have a CO2 restrictor and what is the best approach with it to get maximum power and efficiency combined? Many Thanks Cheers
I HAVE AN INCREDIBLE HDR.68 , SHORTER VALVE PIN ,CO2 RESTRICTOR AND REMOVED VALVE BLOCK , NEXT I WANT TO PUT THE 2 PIECE TUNING BARREL . AWESOME WEAPON .
Thank you my friend. The HDR68 in 7 joule has a valveblock only. For max power just remove it. For even more power put in the long tuning barrel from homedefence-24.com You can also put in a CO2 restrictor in the CO2 canister tube. This can be bought from the same shop or you can make one from the tip of a used 12 gram CO2 canister . Cheers 😃👍
@@runerebel8441 that is disappointing that the mag spring is weak and wont feed heavier balls. I am sure there will be a solution/stronger spring at some point? Thanks Rune!
Hi, do you think there is enough room in the caseing for a valve extension to fit. Then can cut marker pin down and would look no different when assembled.
I measured this, yes it would fit but you would need to cut into some of the internal plastic supports. The extension (I guess the Z-Ram extension) will sit inside the case. However, you would also need to chop down the pressure indicator (it is really long on the HDB). Before I got my HDB I was sure I wanted to use the valve extension - once I got my HDB it seemed unnecessary - it is already powerful, especially on HPA.
Hi, RR (smile), I like this HDB with removed valve block and restrictor on. My query: with removed valve block do I have to be worried about o-ring popups like the restrictor? If so, how long can one shoot with removed valve before o-ring problem can be noticeable? The same goes to restrictor how often can I shoot without it🤔 Thanks in advance!!!
@@malefanematsie3890 Hi my friend. Dont use thight fitting balls in it because that makes a back-pressure and can cause the heat core O-ring to pop out. Remember to always use lube (siniconeoil/spray) and it shouldnt be a problem. The O-ring popped out on mine when I used the Grimburg JUL balls. They fit very thing in the barrel and is not good for the marker. If you buy new 90 Buna O-rings then it should be able to shot the Grimurg JULs also, but I have not done so yet. Cheers 😃
@@runerebel8441 Thank you, my friend, rest assured that every advice you give not only me benefits but all your subscribers. You are a real asset to the non lethal community, cheers 👍
@@runerebel8441 that would be for close quarters combat I mean I'm sure it's more capable then the pistols but if u duct taped the hdr68 underneath it would be a serious weapon for sure
