I want one even though I have a real shotgun. Not all home invasion can be resolved by blowing away intruders, especially if they are unarmed. In that case, HDR50 would be ideal.

The only fly in your ointment is that you're completely wrong. You can buy and own 'high powered pellet guns' in the UK.

@@StrathpefferJunction You are wrong - UK pellet guns are NOT high powered. The maximum for an air pistol is 6ft/lbs. Above that it is classed as a REAL firearm.7 UK citizens can NOT use these for self defence unless they want to end up in deep poo. ALL defensive weapons or items kept specifically for self defence are 100% illegal in the UK (Section 5) Guns are a last line in home and outdoor self defence!! Get the other things sorted out first.

@@tavialexandru617 Tavi, excuse my advice but I read several of your warnings and can tell you are having problems that really do not occur usually ,,,, I have two of these and I have 500 ball bags of the super glass hard defense balls in yellow, the semi hard black balls, and the mushy black balls .... all can be re-fired ... no problems ... Hard balls only load from the NUT side of the magazine because the mag is tapered ... semi hard and mushy can go in either side .... and If you want a nice cheap backstop , get a plastic 24x 15 rubber bin at Walmart for $9 .... Amazon sells a $ 5 string mop head ..... the mop head is perfectly flat when purchased ..it is for replacing on a handle .... zip tie it on both ends through the top of the rubber bin ... it hangs like a theatre curtain ... put the lid on, CUT A 12X12 square and push pin your targets over the square cut out .... the balls will be stopped perfectly by the mop string curtain and fall to the bottom of the bin ... lift the lid and there they are ... I haven't lost a ball and all can be re-fired.

Hey man, greetings from the US! I really enjoyed your video. Had me laughing a few times! The toilet roll & the hobbit reference at the end were both great! Mine showed up today. I am going to do a video on it tonight. I searched all over & could not find the 11 Joules version over here. I called Umarex last week & they told me that it is not available in the US. Thought that was kinda strange because of our gun laws here. I don't know.......weird. Anyway, I liked the video a lot. Thanks for making it! Oh, and the guy from over here commenting about "why do people call us Americans" ummmm, we call ourselves Americans all the time. Not sure where that came from. So, on behalf of Americans everywhere.........I apologize. LOL!

No need to apologise. There is a kit you can get on eBay that transforms the 7 joule version to 16 joules. It won’t fit the 11 joule version though. 11 joules is enough for me as that gets through the CO2 fairly quick.

Hey there's a Restrictor in the 7 Joule model. It's very easy to remove! Then you will have the 11 Joules model.

Wheelchair bit is easy, my Aorta decided it was going to pop, well they call it a Dissected Aorta. That caused other problems, kidneys packed up for a while, other bits and pieces started shutting down, as the blood wasn't getting round my body, and there is apparently some damage to my Medulla oblongata, I have no sensation of hot/cold or pain below my waist. I can still move my legs, just don't seem to have the strength to stand up and walk. Working on it, but its a slow process.

would be nice if all co2 guns are push type like that to activate the co2.....so for home defense purpose the co2 can be activated fast when needed only...even for steel bb guns :D

Just get a cap and ball revolver boss. A .44 caliber Remington New model army, loaded with 35 grains of 777, with a 255 grain bullet, will reach a velocity of around 1000ft/s. That’s hitting with 740ft/lbs of energy. That’s on par with 44 Remington magnum or 10mm. 6 powerful shots and a quick reload if you have extra cylinders. I feel bad for you guys. An unarmed citizen is not a citizen. It is a SUBJECT. If I were in that situation I’d have black powder weapons. Even a single shot pistol would be an improvement. They will protect you and your family a million times better than that waste of money. My sympathies from Texas.

Just got a cap and ball revolver. But don’t feel the need to be armed to be a citizen. However now I’m in a wheelchair and not as able to despatch threats using my 6ft4 280lb size anymore it’s nice to have a little extra help. Living in rural France doesn’t seem to have many problems of that kind.

Depends where you are in the world. If you can have more power than 7.5joules and don't intend to modify it then go for the 11 joule version, if you are going to mod it, then they tell me the 7.5joule version will show more power after mods.

cool video, so with the chamber where you have the rounds are those meant to quickly change them out when you've used up all of your rounds? Ideally, you would carry extra chambers (hope that I'm using the correct term there) in your pocket or something. Is that doable with your version of the gun?

Yes it’s fairly quick to change the cylinders. I normally have a couple of loaded ones in my pocket to quickly reload.

The light is a cheap ASG, it is a bit loose but not enough to worry about, it won't fall off.

South african. we are allowed to own guns and if you're a criminal, you don't need a licence or anything. lol. I have on of these but I battle to load the co 2, it doesn't pop easy, not quite like he shows. but I'll keep playing around with it. makes a good sound, fair power, have hit leaves off a tree at quite a distance. enough to scare away a not too serious intruder I would think

@@raptorone7327 I’ll be honest they may have already been in a way, they’re prosecuting self defense cases like the constitution doesn’t exist, which is why of all my guns I have this unit by my bed, I put the 16 joule cylinder and made another adjustment and I use steel ball bearings as ammo it will knock you off your feet and it protects me cuz there is no law on air guns 😂 I also have a paintball gun with riot balls but my HDR will def stop a man in his tracks 😉

If you want to stay within the law then probably not. Your only allowed 6ft lb for handguns, but the paintball guys seem to think it’s ok having the 11joule version.

What oil do you put on the canister? The gun makes quite a bit of a noise! Does it sound like a normal gun?

Just pellet gun oil. It is fairly loud, more than I was expecting but not quite as loud as a real gun.

@@matthollis4009 Brother, I made my tests many times with same pistol, same projectile..... But the truth is if the attacker is strong, lets say is winter with good leather jacket, this will not stop him from stabing you with knife...., even gas pistol will be better
