Good shooting my man! Got my Notos 2 days ago and so far loving it. Before charging i tried to turn the hammer spring and it only turned forward or reverse about a quarter turn. What do you think is the issue? Does the gun need to be cocked as well? With no pressre in it shouldn't it turn freely? All my other pcp rifles the hammer spring turns normally so i hope theres not an issue with mine. Notos noob here so just learning about tuning it as well. And you guys are correct about the Hades pellets, just hole in hole at 20 yards. Just subbed and thanks!
Well thank you. As for the issue on the hammer spring screw. I would imagine empty without the gun being cocked would make it the easiest to turn. If it isnt turning for you, maybe contact Umarex and ask? They may have had the same issue with others, and it would be a simple solution. But they may not have had that issue, and letting them know could help others in the future. But I certainly would not horse anything around. Im with you, it should be simple and as easy as the manual states. So if it isnt, im voting shout to even A good location that works on guns, like Pyramyd Air, or Airguns of Arizona. Ill pin your comment and if anyone else has had or has the same issue maybe it will help. Great question, thanks for the sub, and enjoy the crap outa the Notos. I know I am!
They are replacing my Notos due to the hammer spring issue. They are out of them right now and the new batch is expected on 10-23. Patience is a virtue right?
Great adventures John! Glad your experience with my Notos proved positive to your purchase decision. The Notos is an exceptional carbine and it is adjustable in many ways, trigger, hammers spring, and internal regulator (I hope). It's not surprising at the 765 FPS 50 yards with the open faced Hades pellet is the limit! My guess is domed 15.89 will be more accurate at 50y and beyond! Remember it is an excellent mid powered carbine.
First off the fishing footage had me rollin! 😂 That was awesome 👌 The consistency while it is on the reg is great. My Kral Knight loves those Hades out to 30-35 yards and then it starts to open up so those 50 yard groups were badass in my opinion. I think Gman is right about using a domed pellet will probably tighten up that group at 50. I was using JSB 18.13's in the Knight when I shot that group at 70. Can't wait to see some mouse kills with the Notos and those Hades. Going to be devastating!
Thank you! I was a great time and im looking forward to fishing again next year. Maybe I will catch a larger fish than my sister… hahaha have a great weekend!
Honestly, the JSB 15.89 Domed, and the JSB 18.13’s are delivering fantastic accuracy. But the JSB Hades 15.89 are ever so slightly better, plus their design allows for near unbeatable expansion and energy dumping on impact. So personally i would hunt with the Hades 15.89 and plink with either the 15.89 domed, or 18.13’s. But also I had good luck and accuracy with the 14.3 gr crosman premier hollowpoints and domed ultra mags. But i will warn you. The crosman pellets will fowl your barrel much much sooner than other pellets. Thanks and have a great week!
Thank you! I friggin love the Notos, and the fishing adventure was amazing! Cant wait for next year. Thanks for taking the time to comment and have a fantastic weekend!
I kinda keep going back n forth on the notos if I want one or not. But everyone's seems to group well with the 15.89 hades so that's a definite plus in my book for pest control. It will just be my "sub 12" usa version since it's like sub 20fpe haha
Yeah it really does outshoot many other rifles out to 30-40 yards. Its super light and compact, and im certain you can get it over 20 ft lbs just by adjusting the hammer spring. My hammer spring is backed all the way out to get a few more shots per fill. Slingin the 15.89 hades at 750 fps is more than enough energy to dispatch any critter in my yard. Perfect for plinkin to. Ive hit beer cans out to 108 yards with it. So longer range plinking isnt even out of the question. For the money, it will be tough to beat. Haha I love mine so much I just bought one for a homie of mine so he can shoot one too. Great rigs, great comment, and have a great weekend!
Nice fishing trip! Dang that's expensive fish lol. I just go down to the river and catch Bass and snakeheads, then release lol. If I want fish cakes, I go to the supermarket lol hey, nice shooting here boss! You need to look into UTube here and watch a video how to turn up the regulator on that Notos so she'll shoot more power and accuracy from it. It'll make alot more power and better accuracy turning up the regulator on it! And shoot farther. I'm just not an Umarex fan boy, Umarex treated me bad! Every darn one I bought is sitting in the junk pile after short term use. The only one that did last 4 yrs was the Gauntlet Gen1. I still have it an it still shoots with a smoothed out worn barrel lol hey!
Yeah it was an event put on by the local fishing club for all the area Veterans. They cleaned and filleted all the fish and divided it up between the Veterans and the volunteers. 150 Veterans showed up for a free fishing trip and free beer and food. It was Amazing. We will likely do it every year a fantastic event to support. I left my fish for someone who needed it more than me. But we do get a sweet challenge coin and tshirt and such. Ive never been one to really dink around with a gun when its shootin good. Haha. The Notos is a new gun tho, and id imagine there will be unforeseen issues. Thats why im here. To shoot the shit outa this thing and point out any flaws. So far, so good. For the average pester this thing is perfect. One hole’n at 20 yards. 95% of my shooting is inside 30 yards so for close range this thing should be lights out. And half the weight of the Armada so a real win win. Haha.
Hahahahha. The mouse honey pot dried up. I may have to pick up some “fancy mice”. Hahaha. I got plant go start baiting up at the “Coozie” (the shack on the hill in the woods) lots of chippys, lots of mice. Gotta bump up these rookie numbers. Ill get the wife to start cricketing some mouse pelt pellet pouches here shortly. ;)
Absolutely agree. Anything inside 30 yards is lights out. But its fully capable to reach further and still bring down critters. Its an awesome carbine.
@@keesdane9687 yes! I am very interested in the performance with the plenum kit. Its performance without is top notch, so if it improves on that, it would be awesome. Also having the option to run different suppressors seems like a real winner. Thanks for the info, good luck with the modding, and have a blast shootin er! Have a great week!
If this is alot of skitos I need to move away from here! 😂 _Ive seen you take a few shots in a row without going crazy... Impressive 🤔_ A nadian buddy was wondering what would be the most compact gun he could get here... The first option that popped in my head was the Notos. He made me realize that this is a pistol so it won't happen! (Was restricted and now we can't buy any handguns) Bullpups are also prohibited. (Just because why not) *Basically you need a loud & long gun for it to be approved here 🤣* _{Built-in moderators are also prohibited.}_ One question tho... For how long did you have this pump (brand?) and do you always pump this fast? Ive been told that slow strokes will increase durability which kinda makes sense (less heat)
I had this pump for 2, maybe 2-1/2 years. And yes, this is the speed I always pump. I usually only pump 60 times when filling the Armada, then Allow the pump/seals to cool for 25 min or longer. With the Notos tho i havent had to pump it more than 50 or so times to refill it so its unlikely im doing too much harm as the temps of the moving parts arent really that warm yet. I would suggest doing like 30 pumps at whatever speed you find comfortable, then feel the base of the pump. Next time try slowing down and see if the pump feel cooler. When I did this i didnt feel any real difference. I have pumped as high as 90 pumps in the past when I needed the air like right now. But you have to let it cool longer so you are robbing peter to pay paul. There was a noticeable temperature difference after pumping 90 tho. I reserve this approach for filling for the winter so the cold temps help keep the pump cooler longer, allowing 90 pumps straight. But honestly i dont think speed is as important in the longevity of the pump, as heat it. As long as you dont allow the pump to get too warm, the speed at which it is heating up seems less important. But there is lots of advice out there so take mine with a grain of salt. Haha. As for the skeeters, they are no where near as bad as your place. Haha you are an animal shooting in the damn tag alder swamp. Hahaha. Layers help a bit too. ;) keep up the great videos bud. Thanks for stopping by and fantastic questions.
Also this is the Air Venturi G9 pump. Its a great pump. Rebuildable, comes with an extra seal kit and tools needed as well as near acceptable instructions. The stuff you were reading the other day was, wow. Ill give it to you tho, you friggin got through it. Thats determination right there. Haha. Have a great week bud!
@@renterp I speak french so reading this manual was awful 😁 The Vevor pump seems to be working pretty good yet but I don't know if I would trust pumping this fast with it... I tried to test after 50 slow pumps and it was barely 2-3°c more so maybe I could go a bit faster. People recommended me to go slow & stop at the top and bottom to allow the air to get in & out too I really don't know if this matters tho as long as you do the full stroke Thanks for the reply & kind words!
Completely agree. Wasnt sure if I should add that footage in, but it was an absolute blast, it was the annual Veterans Fishing Trip, and it was the reason I was too sore to have any footage from the Unboxing. Hahaha. It seemed worthy of some air time. Someone caught a 20lb laker…jesus murphy. Haha have a great week!
