People always thought GnW was broken, Miya just confirmed their biases which is why the parrots have started squawking louder. People don't think Miya is carried. It's a small majority. Steve is not a quirky character, it's the best character in the game by a huge margin. And Acola's far from the only one having major succes with the character. Onin (Pocket) won a supermajor before Acola did, tons of sub-top players get a boost in results by picking him up like Syrup and DeeDee. The character pops up everywhere on PR's way more than any other character, the statistical evidence is overwhelming if the gameplay alone wasn't persuasive enough. Acola is the best of all of the Steves but he's not the best player in the world, and he shows that any time he plays other top tier characters. Players like Leo, Spargo, and Tweek have shown to be able to play multiple characters at top level. It's not even close

Plus I guess it also ties into being frustrated for the players who have to play against gnw who can just build a wall of damage around him, drop super safe pressure with the fair and still make it in time for a punish.

LOL, what is this comment? First of all, Acola has been dethroned by Spargo/Sonix. His last two major tournaments, he placed 3/4th below those two, who are clearly #1/#2. Acola is heavily carried by Steve. You can have one or two great plays but the problem is, Acola doesn't typically have any "great" plays. He wins by player mechanics & boring stock exchanges. He RELIES on the character. Have you ever seen him play anyone but Steve? His fundamentals are below par & looks like a fish out of water. He gets beat so bad by Spargo, he won't choose Steve in that matchup & loses the ditto matchup. He uses Steve's cheese to win the game. Such a delusional post lol

Not really. Love seeing Miya win but game n watch is surprisingly one of the few good matchups against Steve. And naturally Miya is the best one so it's tough to beat. Any character that can rush Steve down and chase him well has an easier time than most

@@8bittimthe matchup is 50/50 coming out from the last Game and Watch matchup chart. Game and Watch juggles steve very well and has bucket to reflect minecart and anvil, however bucket needs a certain hitbox to reflect anvil so it honestly feels like luck sometimes to reflect the anvil. The reason it’s 50/50 though is because every single one of Steve’s moves kills G&W at like 70% with good DI.

Porque es Acola, el que mejor usa a Steve en este juego en el mundo. Recuerda, el personaje como ese solo es bueno si se sabe usar muy bien. Pero ese es el punto y eso es lo que hace Acola: SABE USARLO. Son parecidos a los francotiradores en los juegos de disparos: en el papel son fuertes, pero en la realidad el que maneja detrás a un francotirador debe SABER USARLO, para que funcione y sacar todo su poder y potencial. Lo mismo para los personajes de Minecraft en un juego tan competitivo como SSBU.
