Jeremy C the ump threw out a guy who had only pitched 11 pitches. with 8 strikes. he came in and gave up 3 hits and 4 earned runs. now that’s still bad. but he shouldn’t have been tossed.

I'm with you on the 'bored' part. TV has really ruined a lot of sports with all the TV time outs. Baseball games are well over three hours now some bordering on 4 hours. NFL games in person are a joke. TV consistently ruins the action by calling its own timeouts. A player gets injured all the more reason for an onslaught of commercials. If you're at the game you get to listen to music and maybe a dance routine by the cheerleaders. Now the brainiacs at NBC think it's a good idea to start pausing the action more and more in NHL hockey. The last 5 mins in the third period in hockey are pretty exciting. This is being interrupted more and more by commercials with 3 mins left to play. Stupid!!!

It's the greatest passtime sport you watch while doing chores or working out or having casual conversations with your friends. If you really wanna get the real deal I suggest you just watch it at the stadium. You get to see all the little things they don't show you on your TV and it's really a great atmosphere.

If the other team, especially the one who was hit, is vouching for the guy ejected, then that should be a wake up call for the umps. Like, no one else saw that as ejection worthy other than you. Not even the batter who should have more saw in this shit than the umps.

MLB needs to rework the umpires' contract so that they are reviewed more oftenn and held to a higher standard than they are currently.

Umpires need to be able to get challenged by the players and staff and have a third party make the decision! I think the power the umps have is too much some time!

In the mid 2000s, there was a knuckle ball pitcher (not Wakefield) who got tossed in a similar situation. He hit a guy with a knuckleball after a homerun and got tossed. If he were trying to hit the guy, wouldn't it have made more sense to throw a fastball?

By rule an umpire can warn teams and not throw a pitcher out. The game to which your speaking there is no way in hell Arrieta is throwing at Todd Fraizer. Why would you put the tying and go ahead runs on? Its totally apparent to me and probably everyone in baseball that Fraizer doesn't like to be pitched inside so whats going to happen? Teams are going to pound him inside and make him uncomfortable and from time to time miss their spot and hit him.

This in turn, causes the team at bat to question 1) why the ump didn't simply toss the pitcher, and 2) why don't we get a chance to retaliate? Then, Arrieta proceeds to hit yet a 3rd batter & still no ejection. That whole situation was brought on by the ump issuing warnings...if he didn't think there was any intent, all he had to do was communicate that fact to everyone & move on.
