Why do you guys have so many channels? How many other baseball related shows do you do that aren't on JM Baseball? I'm not going to chasing around youtube for each show with it's own channel. It took me probably a year to figure out how to watch any of the warehouse events because you guys are terrible at providing links and have too many channels.

@@ByronGiant They clearly link things all the time. Warehouse games were promoted and easy to find. Seems like you just are lazy to take a sec and look. And there's different channels because they are for different types of content. Not everyone wants to watch everything so I bet they separate it to keep it organized

Rocco is o.k. but for 4 years he makes many decisions that make one ask why and then predict a negative scenario only to watch it play out in front of our eyes. There are also a lot of fans who treat him like a god so you get both extreams.

I think that this is the first time that all 3 sides had a point and handled it as they should've. Blue gave a warning and an explanation on their reasoning, the Yankees explained their side and changed how they did it, and even the Twins had a point on how he got a warning and should've been gone

Ump wasn't right at all, he gave a "warning" when literally zero rules were broken at all, in any way by German. This is like saying the cop was right for arresting someone who was driving 55 in a 55 after the cop told them to drive 20. If no ruke/law is being broken, then a warning or any punishment is absurd.

@@snerdtergusonI mean the umpire wasn't wrong. He felt so something sticky asked him to wash his hands, as it was probably roison. The pitcher came back after washing his hands with his hands still sticky. Roison would have washed off so having it still sticky would raise red flags. In the end tho, it was a simple misunderstanding and I agree with OP that I think everyone seemed to handle this fine. I'm very surprised your allowed to apply roison before you enter the field at all btw that seems strange

Or not to enter street X and you willfully disobey that instruction. If you do 50 and down that street you'll have a few police officers chasing you, and you'll be arrested. Lets assume it is rosin and he is applying it in the dug out. I'd see that being an impact the pitch clock has played on the pitchers. You dont have time to doctor up at the mound each batter so getting a head start in the dug out could be a way to get ahead. Other factors need to be considered too though.

So he wasn’t using the rosin on the mound and no issues with the clock. He used the rosin on the mound after the whole situation and he was still pitching fine. Clock isn’t an issue

Is there a rule against it? No. Therefore it is improper of the ump to say anything at all.about it. It would be like a cop arresting you because they personally think what you did SHOULD be illegal. Rules are rules and laws are laws. We write them down for a reason. It isn't for on field officials to legislate.

That’s the reason he wasn’t ejected but also the reason why they told him to use the one on the field. The Ump didn’t cite a rule, just had the him do something different, which they’re allowed to do.

Yeah i think the ump made a judgement call/warning, then realized it was pretty stupid, which is why German was allowed to pitch again with a slightly sticky pinky(giggity). Seems pretty reasonable because the whole idea of "this guys hands are too tacky" is completely subjective. The whole point of rosin is to dry your hands and it eventually gets tacky/sticky, and it's legal, so the question comes down to "what's too sticky?" The ump warned him, then discussed it with the other umps and realized he was probably a bit too hasty, so they lightened up a bit.

@@CRneuI would say it was probably that they knew they were navigating a language barrier. Pitcher went and washed his hands, then rosined up like he always does, not realizing why the umps had him wash up. He will be good to go going forward and will use the rosin on the mound.

Once I was sitting at a Rangers game had decent tickets in the outfield. But we could see right into the rangers bullpen and the bathroom. We could see if they washed their hands (most did not) and if they shut the door (again most did not).

Huge props to these umps for being understanding about a real hard situation. Domingo just wants to keep a good clip on the mound now that we've got pitch clock and the umps don't want anything that could be remotely close to sticky stuff. Maybe we'll have a new rule that says pitchers can only apply rosin on the mound and need to come out of the dugout with clean hands. Simple.

agree. exaclty. if you are an mlb pitcher your should be okay with the rosin, chalk and cleat cleaners on the mound. there is no need to use shady rosin that doesn't meet the standards to pitch before you even take the field.
