Taskmaster is a bit of an unexpected choice, but I'm glad he got some time in the spotlight. Also, I like the little reference to when Tony Stark used to pretend Iron Man was his bodyguard.
In the days before Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite, they had a lot more creativity in their roster. Hell, the only reason I knew most of these heroes when they finally got movies was because of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and UMvC3.
@@MegaManXPoweredUp what a shame honestly. Thanks to licenses and restrictions on creativity it made infinite such a boring and mediocre mess of a video game
I had something kind of interesting between Deadpool and Taskmaster one time. Deadpool said "Check me out: I'm the Ghost of Christmas 'Kick your ass!'", and Taskmaster said "You are the ass kick-EE. I am the ass kick-ER" I just find it kind of odd that there's a line between them that only happens if Deadpool says one of his stock quotes.
He actually did once. Then Man-Thing killed him because it sensed his fear, as, the more he fought like Deadpool, the more afraid he became of becoming him. He could even hear Deadpool's voices in his head.
@Drake Barnes the killogy was pure absurdity in a storyline. but if nothing else, it gave closing to all the tread of DPCorps and the other DP-centric comics had before becoming too much. still believe Pandapool to be a wasted opportunity, tho
@@logannottheonefrommarvel9917 I'll avoid spoilers, but let's just say Taskmaster...isn't very Taskmaster. Read some of his comics and then watch the movie. You'll figure it out fairly quickly.
Hoo boy, he's voiced a *_lot_* more characters than that. Dude's in everything. Wolverine, Chameleon, Green Goblin, Anti-Venom, Venom, Bullseye, Kang, random news reporter, random space operator, etc. And that's not even a fraction of what he's done. You name it, he was it.
You're thinking of photographic memory which captures memories in the form of images. Taskmaster has photographic reflexes which are able to see and mimic perfectly someones muscle movements (even muscles as small as the eyes which is why he can mimic someones aim.) He can't however mimic superhuman abilities like Dr Stranges Magic, Magneto's mutant powers or the Hulk's strength, he can copy their muscle movements exactly but not make himself stronger or do anything not using normal muscles
@@Taskmasterxyz no but the idea to forget stuff like your childhood friends and family is not something anyone would love (unless you had a bad childhood then its ok)
@@playerstation5624 Oh for sure, wasn’t denying that. Just saying that he doesn’t forget skills at all. It’s an unfortunate life for the master of combat.
Ah Taskmaster..Used to be even MORE badass before they made u edgy. So glad I grew up with THIS version of him. It's the reason he's one of my favorite Marvel Villains!
Taskmaster should an intro quote against Dante like: "Allow me to show you how to use a sword" and a post battle quote like: "Best live the sword to me boy"
I'm aa huge Marvel fan, but admittedly didn't know who the Taskmaster was up until not too long ago. I kind of thought he was boring at first, but then I got to reading some of his appearances and I really grew to love the character. His powers are so unique and unbelievably cool. If he had superhuman attributes (strength, speed) he'd probably be among the top 10 most powerful villains.
TaskMaster: (phone rings, he picks up) Yeah, Taskmaster here. Deadpool: Yeah, I'm lookin' ta kill someone. Mr. Jass, first name "Hugh". TaskMaster: Lemme check around. Hey, do I got a Hugh Jass around here? Does anyone know anything about a Hugh Jass?! (everyone laughs, Deadpool included) TaskMaster: LISTEN, YA WALKIN' ASYLUM! NEXT TIME I FIND YOU, I'M GONNA STICK A SAUSAGE DOWN YOUR THROAT AND STICK STARVIN' DOGS UP YOUR ASS!!!!
WhiteFangofWhoa I doubt Gilgamesh will willingly give taskmaster his treasures. Plus since he copies others Gilgamesh will just see him as another faker.
But that's what makes him more special, to be able to even fight against superheroes and villains that do have superpowers with just his skills, weaponry and photographics reflexes. To me, that's the appeal of Taskmaster, a human opening a can of whoop ass on mutants, heroes and villains alike. Ps: While he may have starred in the Avengers comic as a villain, he's more of a mercenary, second best only to deadpool.
I don’t like what the MCU did to him because they basically rewrote his character unnecessarily and then took him out before he technically even showed up.
Salim B. I like his old slang. In the comics, this girl named Finesse confronts him and says that he might be her father. He basically says, "[I've] known more'n my share'a broads" and admits that the chances are pretty good that she's his kid, but he can't remember.
I can understand that. I read the comics and Taskmaster appeared several times in the Deadpool comics and I eventually purchased the Taskmaster limited series and I love the character and the role he plays. He sticks out. In know in Avengers Acmedy, Taskmaster is the father of the girl named Finesse. When I learned of Taskmaster in MvC I was pumped and love how he was done. I really hope Taskmaster is in the Deadpool game and movie. I think he needs his own ongoing series
I know it´s 2023, but I think the intro quote against Dante could be: "You´re going to slice-up me? Good luck with that"; and the immediate victory quote (not the one that we see in the results screen) could be: "Maybe I should show you how to use that sword!" or the other one I´ve wrote here: "Best leave the sword to me boy".
That sums it up. Some moves Taskmaster can copy if it is formal techique but since no one can be on the same mental level of Deadpool he cant copy all the moves. Another reason is that Deadpool uses an improvised fighting style so when the two fight he has to deal with Deadpool in different ways. If Taskmaster copied the moves of Ryu, Dante, Wesker, Chris and Chun li he would be unstoppable
If I had Taskmaster's photographic reflexes, I'd be watching college and pro basketball nonstop. I'd be impossible to defend AND impossible to score on. NBA teams would be lining up to sign me.
I hope if they have The Fantastic Four in MVC4 when that happens and Taskmaster is in it, they have him copy Reed and Johnny's Powers like Solid JJ's video
More specifically- he can copy motions he is physically capable of. He could copy the motion of the hulk-jumps, for instance, but not the power behind it. If he fast-forwards a video tape, he can imitate the speed briefly.
Another cool voice of Taskmaster was in Ultimate Spiderman (Cartoon Series) Just try it in the search box and see what you think of that voice actor. If there were to be a UMvC4 I would mind listening to him. "Taskmaster Ultimate Spiderman"
HE can remember everything he sees and copies It PERFECTLY, he could probably beat any fighter by turning his technic against him, copy any strategy he sees and soon
While that's true he cannot mimic the strength or superhuman abilities of a character (he CAN mimic super speed but it's extremely damaging and tiring on his body, he once watched a video of an athlete running and played it at a faster speed to mimic the illusion of copying super speed but his body was extremely worn out afterwards.) He can copy the actual movements and techniques someone uses but he'd still get crushed in a brawl against someone who outstrenghs the same technique (Hulk)
