The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are seeing big drops in membership. Reasons include the pandemic and social trends and according to some, they "lost their way."
Trail Life USA has seen a huge growth and they believe it's because they have kept the main focus on Christian beliefs.

I use be in what’s called Royal Rangers when I was young with my church. Use to go camping, rock climbing, pinewood derbies, learn how to survive in the wild and so much more basically the same thing as trail life. It’s sad where we are at know a days 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@chellyjelly7963 Hahaha. What i meant to say is that I'll put my sons into Trail Life USA and my daughters into American Heritage Girls, because both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are becoming too woke and i don't want that for my kids. Especially as a patriot of color. 😄

My daughter is an AHG tenderheart and loves it. The time she spends learning practical skills, service to community, and most importantly honoring God has not only been a blessing to her but to us as well. Im so happy we were able to find AHG and become part of it to help encourage my daughters growth as a young girl to a young woman, but also to help root her foundation of faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus.

As a former Boy Scout and later an Assistant Scoutmaster, I think these new programs are definitely better since the traditional scouts decided to go "Woke." God bless these newer programs.

I definitely prefer it before the “woke“ days, you know back in Day when the scoutmasters we’re just getting a little booty quiet like in the tent when the rest of the kids were asleep. Traditional values. That’s what I’m talking about.

As an Eagle Scout, pulling our 3 sons from Scouting was one of the “Top 5 Gut Wrenching Decisions” I’ve ever had to make. Top Heavy, it looks to collapse under its own weight, as its messaging is only a chunk of its fundamental errors.

It has nothing to do with schools - they are offered where there are adults who want to start a local group. Since they are openly Christian orgs it would not be uncommon if public schools would not allow them to use school facilities for meetings.

There’s plenty of homeschooling and Christian school options for all ages now. Personally I would lean towards homeschooling as many private schools are completely compromised and look at helping to donate to the uncompromised Christian schools to help the less fortunate families

I was in the "old" BSA program , when it made sense and adhered to the ideals of Baden Powell...the policy changes, the overall program changes, even the uniform changes have disappointed me through the recent years..I still LIVE according to the ideals and the Oath and Law,as per the way it was defined back in the late 1960s...I still am a volunteer, but I use the "old" Scouting teaching methods!! The kids love it...the adults smile and nod their heads with memories...the Council looks at me with frustration...as long a the program is taught in a Scout-like manner and method, Council cannot touch you !!! Bless everyone !!! One of my very best friends was a Royal Ranger for years...even THAT program changed in ways made it lose membership...Sad to see that happen...BSA and the Royal Rangers worked very well together....

Oh please. My son is First Class and I can't imagine participating if they pushed religion on us. Faith is personal. One does not require Christianity to be moral and virtuous. This sounds like Jesus Camp. Look up the film.

In the SDA church we have pathfinders and busy bees and adventurers, basically engaging the youth in church, reading the word, and camping, missionary activities. And of course having a relationship with God. So really liking what these people are doing. God bless!

Awesome!!! So glad to see Christian values being distilled on the next generation!!! While I never got a chance to join, as a child, either the boy or cub scouts I always wanted to and was so dishearten to see how "Woke-ism" had ruined them. Personally i think BSA still remains the best youth development program in the country. True, BSA has never been solely for Christians. Yet youth can find units chartered by specific faiths. Or a VFW or PTAs. And true, the program now has expanded to include girls in younger programs akin to separate boy/girl soccer teams. I don't personally see the draw of trail life but so long as you're getting your kids involved in something that develops character, good for you.

I just became an Eagle Scout last month, I agree with you man. BSA isn’t perfect but no organisation is. I’m glad that such a great program has been opened to girls too. And it’s probably the best program to help young kids develop in a more diverse setting which is more realistic of what being a leader is like.

@@LouieKaboom I've been actively involved for a better part of my adult life since I was a scout in the 1970's. Active at the local, regional, and national levels. So same back at you There are some truly disturbing notions out there about what BSA's purpose is. A military youth organization. A Christian organization. An organization to make boys into men. That 'morally straight' was somehow tied to sexuality. The list of nonsensical beliefs about BSA's mission and purpose is no less that gibberish that continues to linger.

I was part of American Heritage Girls for about five years. I basically got kicked out of the troop because I shared the gospel with a Catholic friend (of 9 years) from the troop (on the phone after the woman asked me about my faith). I even took my complaint (about being muzzled from telling my testimony) up to the corporate offices and they were not at all supportive; they placated me well but did not do anything to restore the breach, communicate freedom of religion and speech or change their policies . Unfortunately, they have become ecumenical. I can, however, vouch for Trail Life USA. It seems that they have started well.

Boy Scouts was based on Conservative principles: God, Duty, Country. But then they tired to appease people by becoming more about social engineering, and moved away from "outdoormanship." Regular guys lost interest. I want to camp out, I do not want to discuss my feelings. The psychologists kept telling parents of autistic children scouts was a great way to mainstream them. This made troops cater beyond their capabilities to a group of challenged children.

The scouts are, yes. But it’s part of a flag retirement ceremony…it’s no surprise that the editors of this video chose to show only such a small part of what is a nationally recognized flag retirement ceremony. The part show, without context or explanation, readily causes concern that what the scouts are doing is bad…I’m not surprised, based upon the biased view of the video.

Soo.... just a heads up everyone. The BSA (Boy Scouts of America) were the ONLY Scouting program in the WORLD to segregate boys and girls. The ONLY one. Girls being in Scouting isn't ruining a single thing. As far as God is concerned, I completely agree with this program. We are a proud Cub and Scout family but it does bum me out that Faith is no longer such a prominent aspect. I do focus on out faith and the need for faith with my group.
