As a protestant, well past the time of life for childbearing..I have to say I love to drop in on conversations like this one. It's bittersweet, of course. But, ultimately, I love that this good work is going forth.. I love hearing that minds are being changed and lives saved. God bless and keep you both.

Im 36. Up until a few years ago I was pro choice. Im pro life now after hearing a lot of Lilas content. And no Im not religious whatsoever. Its just common sense.

In the decades before fertility treatments were available, infertile couples were known to adopt children. Take a look at one of the former executive pastors at Prestonwood Baptist Church. He and his wife adopted two children because they had none of their own.

I have 4 wonderful children who came via foster to adopt. They came at 9,4,12 months, and 3days old

Catholics and Protestants need to do more of this, uniting on all the most important things instead of constantly arguing about their differences

I am 91 and we knew by age 12 -13,how babies were made,and the consequences,and if pregnancy occurred,it was not the babies fault.COMMON sense is still available

The circumstances of conception never determine the worth of a human life

How I love these two women -- this is an awesome conversation which a lot of women (and men) need to listen to. As a man (who normally doesn't listen to ladies' podcasts), this discussion was thoughtful, engaging and gave me hope.

I mean aside from extreme cases, it’s seems fairly easy to go about your day and not get pregnant, if you really don’t want a child, you could just not go through the actions that are literally the recipe for a new human being

They say that abortion is a war lost and we should just abandon the abortion issue, but like Allie, I feel so strongly that this is a fight that we cannot let go of. These are lives, not just of the new human beings, but also the mothers and fathers who choose abortion. We're fighting for all lives and their souls. May God help us!

I was pro choice till I was 38 and I had my miracle baby. Changed my opinions on a lot of things.

Women KNOW its ending the life of a child. "Clumps of cells" and "Fetus" are dehumanizing language that helps get through the process. But in the end, the lost baby and the mother are changed forever... "I'm proud to have done it because i didn't want my life interrupted." Is one of the biggest lies told on earth. It’s so true! I never thought about IVF until this last year when I heard an interview on Live Action. Thank you for enlightening Christians to the concerns held within the topic of IVF.

My friend’s sister got pregnant through IVF, but only had them do 1 embryo made by using the first egg (something like that, not too familiar with the process). She didn’t want to chose gender, health, or anything. The first embryo was it, and it stuck 😊. I’m Catholic and do office work for a courier company for a major fertility treatment company. I kind of have conflict within myself about it.

You can never truly abolish abortion and give justice to the victims if you don't make murder illegal for the women who chooses with forethought of malice to put her child to death. I hate abortion and not a huge fan of Ivf, but it’s always interesting when women who are blessed with multiple children and means almost talk down about ivf and recommend adoption yet have no adoptive children. I would also like to know the comparison of how many babies are lost in naturally trying to get pregnant vs when you try ivf. Not all naturally fertilized eggs make it to the uterus or continue to grow or grow in the right place especially in infertility cases

I am not big fan of abortion but I like to think that the woman doing the birthing should have rights as well. To not have some exceptions is monstrous. I am thinking of the 10 year old girl who was raped and had to go to another state for an abortion. If you were her parents would you like to tell her that she would have to give birth to her rapist's baby? Or if living in Texas, a number of women have had near death medical emergencies and still they couldn't get an abortion, even though the fetus was already dead. These aren't rare medical conditions, they happen all the time. If this is based on biblical teachings, then you need another book. The bible does not prohibit abortion, according to scholar Melanie Howard "This 2,000-year-old text says nothing about abortion." In fact the bible gives instructions for a priest to induce a miscarriage, I am thinking Numbers chapter 5.

When i was making my decision on abortion i did my research into how an abortion is performed, and i couldn't imagine supporting that. People kept coming at me with arguments for abortion and none of them don't sound unselfish. There are people who say that for medican reasons due to complications, but I'm in favor of nature taking place. If you want to save a mothers life then removing the baby and trying to save both mother and baby would be the best way to go. I also feel a lot of things are categorized as abortion that really shouldn't be.

A great view to have but biologically we cannot eliminate abortion completely as they occur naturally as stillborn sometimes. Also medical issues can happen even if rare. Would be nice if abortion was the exception, and even then limited to the first trimester only, worst case. With family planning and contraception, could become the rare exception.

Look when you are a certain age and have the choices of an adult and as a couple issue you make a decision around your sexual life. Then take the responsibility around this act to use what is necessary to not get pregnant. Having sex and not trying to prevent a pregnancy is not up to our government to dictate putting into law about abortion. This has come about around how many abortions are being done by couples or women having to terminate. To me this is just plain stupid in this day and age. You can’t be that obtuse around this issue. Kids are having sex earlier now it appears. According to a former President oral sex isn’t sex. Yah right🤭‼️

I actually disagree that you are complete as a woman if your not married. God created the woman especially as a suitable partner for man, and even named as after him because we are made out of him. His first command is to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, so marriage and reproduction are the first and foremost things we have to do and uphold to bring glory to him. You're not complete on your own, marriage is human nature and you see (and both of you actually talk a lot about) the devastating effects of rejecting marriage, not only an important human institution, but THE most important one. Furthermore, our identity depends completely on what we are to the social circle around us (the most important one is family) and what we contribute to this community. One professor who studies suicide actually mentions the feeling of isolation from others and the perception that the people around you would be better off without so (hence the perception you don't contribute any value to their lives) as two of three main factors that precede suicide and make suicide most likely. Being deeply embedded in family is the best predictor for a healthy, happy life. So you're actually spiritually dependent on marriage and family, it's just the way we are made.

I once heard a brilliant priest describe Hell as a place where you end up looking endlessly at yourself and your own sin & brokenness for thousands of years. And then look at human happiness here on Earth, and ask yourself- does anyone you know who is genuinely happy or at peace live primarily for themselves?! The answer is pretty clear when you meet those who are genuinely at peace. God bless.

I have known women who have had an abortion. The sadness afterwards never seemed to go away. Tragic. But, there's more to this than what you see on the surface. Canada has embraced euthanasia. What was initially packaged as humane treatment for the terminally ill, has expanded to the poor, people suffering from depression, and the elderly. Considering what they are doing to our economies, destroying the retirement for most seniors, it has become obvious that Pandora's Box has been opened. As senior citizens find their retirement savings being decimated by run away inflation, you are going to have people who hit a home run on all three.

I believe most people are pro life. I also believe that its a women's choice. I would rather. have doctors do abortions than back alley abortions. Also show this energy for those that are already here and living.

sorry but as 2 women with 0 fertility issues you have no idea how infertility feels like... studies show its as hard on a couple as a cancer diagnosis.. We are 2 times more likely to get divorced also. You have no idea what you are talking about.... i did IVF i have 4 embryos suitable for implantation with 1 of them being a low mosaic. my other 2 would have either not implanted or would have caused a miscarriage. It is illegal where i am to do gender selection. I am luckily enough to have 1 child that was a miracle. I will be using all.4 of my embryos. So if thats me having 5 kids then so be it. There is 100% ethical was to do IVF.
