These instruments are grandparents of the instruments you know today...thousands of years...

The instruments are : Setar( the one similar to guitar), Gheychak( the one similar to vertical violin), Kuzeh( Persian udu, similar to flower pot ), and Daf( the other one which kuzeh player plays) . The wave that you hear in the singer voice named Tahrir, which maybe I can say is small waves between lower and higher notes made by the singer, and you can find it all over our classic songs and even some modern ones as well, I am not expert in music, hope the friends who can explain better about "tahrir", help us here. The poem is too poetic to be translated, sorry, generally it is about love, how she is sad and noway that she can handle this sadness anymore and how much she has missed him,..... And thank you for your reaction.

Thanks about the musical part, it was great, But about the poetry and the meaning of that, I have to be disagree with you, it’s poem Of shaikh Ajal Saedi, He was great Sufi Master and he was in the very Hight position in his order! So the poetry is about lover( not woman or man) but it’s about a love between his Master and him, to understand the meaning of Persian classic poetry nead to understand the Sufism and meaning of the words that has been used, than can translate them, any way to understand the translation actually need to know about the Sufi doctrine!

There is not such a poem from Sa,di who was living 800 years ago in the UN door . It is fabricated by Pan-Farsism sect in Iran and poisoned Iranian people. That poem is very beautiful and meaningful: The humanity has one root. When one organ of our body is in pain all our body is in pain too. We people are as a body . when one person is in pain all humanity should be in pain too so we should take care of each other. Whoever does not help other people when they need help we cannot call that person a human. one sample of those Pan -Farsism fabrication about Sa,di : A famous verse by Sa,di adorns the entrance to the Hall of Nations on the UN building in New York: Of one Essence is the human race, Thus has Creation put the base, One Limb impacted is sufficient, For all others to feel the Mace. بقیه اش را لطفا از لینک زیر بخوانید: efsha.squarespace.com/blog/2009/6/4/387621668541.html

The beauty of this kind of poem is that everyone has his/her interpretation that if it is about God, a beauty, or a lover, my crude translation: No one has passed in my heart since I remember you You do not pitch a tent inside me The seal of my covenant ("Mandragora") is fresher every day Even if you uproot the tree of friendship Nobody will care about me if you throw me away I am accepted by all if you accept me Because you are a young face without a turbidity It was a pity to break the promise of loyalty of friends The burden of sorrow overcame the patience How a few stones could resist I have escaped from everyone, I have fallen in love with you It will not be arranged what you scatter O heart if his/her parting and the fire of his/her longing Does not affect you, you are not a heart but a thing made of iron I also came to you as an enemy and a ruler Accompanies have no choice but to be humble Saadi, what is the point if you do or do not show impatience The hard bow will not care if you are a weak armor This Ghazal is known as the "Mehrgiah" or Mandragora

Iran's music is the origin of all music in that region and beyond including Indian sub-continent, Central Asia, and Asia minor (modern Turkey).

Sa´die Sheirauzi is giving a testimony to love itself، its nature , and how it treats you as it behaves with or without your beloved in there. He uses metaphors that make it difficult to translate but here it is.... My version of it. a pleading to love No one crosses my attention as long as you are in my heart. always in my breath though you never breathe into me. why? My seed of love fresh as ever, may not if you uproot the tree. I sought no one, daresay even you avoided me. And I pledge to you or without, if you do wish it to be.. your bright heart, so odd to turn dark on me. O´ pity how you break promise to me . my patience down to its knees, how your pain burdens me. How withstand pillar and stone the weight of it? To put faith in your love made a stranger of me. I will never be whole again if you let go of me. O´ dear heart, in lack of it, burn of thirst to it, if none do you harm ? Made of steel must be your weapon of charm. because of you I come to your door, one who rules in cruelty. Yet the devoted is helpless but to submit humbly to your destiny.

Hi, this performance and all performances of traditional Iranian music, all musical instruments and rhythms, melodies and musicians are in the service of the poem and the way the singer expresses the poem. To get to the music of poetry or to get as close as possible to the music of poetry, that is, the music that the poet had in mind when composing poetry. So, the closer the harmony and beauty of the music is to the music of the poem, the more pleasant and beautiful it becomes. It is then that the content of the poem and the poet's purpose in composing the poem and what the poet wanted to explain to his audience. So you must be aware of Persian language and poetry to be a part of the song and perform the song. I enjoyed your interpretation and reaction, even though you do not know Persian. Thank you (SIYA)

it is a Love song, poet is SA'ADI Shirazi (lived 800 years ago), some calls him as the best Persian Poet, and some consider him alongside HAFEZ SHirazi ,Ferdowsi and Roomi as the four pillar of Persian Poetry, any how he is one the most famous classical poets of Persian Literature. He has one Unique talent not only he was a great poet, but he is the only classical poet, that wrote a prose book which is not earthly , so he reached to a level that has never repeated . The Prose Book is named GOLESTAN and his POEM Book named BOOSTAN. you can find his prose Golestan translated into English, you would enjoy it.

Lyrics are about remembering love she say how can I remember anyone else while you are in my memories or in my mind If you put me out of your side who will get me oh my heart if the passion of his love doesn't effect you you are like iron you are not hearth but iron

What is even more amazing than the song and music is that these ladies have formed groups like this in a country that women have been prohibited from performing many artistic activities, including music. Iranian women have been beaten, jailed, raped and killed for over 40 years to take their rights back to get to this point. Something that people living in free countries take for granted.

just for comment. the name Guitar contains particular part "Tar" which in the Persian language is used for the unit of counting hair and also refers to strings of musical instruments, all kinds of instruments in Iran which are being played same as guitar is, has a name containing phrase "Tar" like the instrument in this video which is named "SeTar" which means 3 strings.

Translation by Google of the lyrics: No one can pass in my heart until you are in my mind You do not pitch a tent inside me The seal of my covenant is fresher every time You uproot a tree of friendship ( a tree that causes love in people) I did not take anyone away from you You accept both worlds Because you are a novel face without a turbidity It was a pity to break the promise of loyalty of friends Patience overcame the burden of sorrow A few slow-resisting berries and a hundred semen stones I have escaped from everyone, I have fallen in love with you No matter what you scatter O heart if his parting and the fire of his longing It does not affect you, you are not an iron heart I also came to you as an enemy and a ruler Relatives have no choice but to be humble Saadi, what is the use if you do not give up? Hard bow, what a pity you are weak boiling
