In todays' video I'll be swatching this super affordable 8-piece cat eye gel polish kit from Amazon.
My good nail pal @groovynailsbybea on IG recommended these and after seeing how she used them , I had to snap some up for myself. I've been getting some comments about seeing these gels on top of a different base. I used the black gel as that's what comes in the set, but these gels also have a dark grey base, so they'll likely only look good on top of deeper base shades (in my opinion). I've since put them on top of a dark blue, a berry shade and layered on top of a pinkish nude. It can be so hard to get the right shine all over the nail. What techniques do you use with your magnet. I myself had to practice, and I just had to say thanks for sharing how you do it!

I have this kit, I just purchased 2 cat eye polishes from yokefellow too. They are all very beautiful with so many color shifts. Right now I have on a peachy nude with rainbow cats eye over it. I'll be doing a fiber gel fill and reshape balance and green design this time, I'm going to use jelly colors from young nails. Love the video! Beautiful nails! ❤

Omg I have these! They're bloody beautiful! I actually forgot I had them. Also I can make you some of those nail stencils so you can use it over the full nail if you would like. Yess, it turns out I was very late to the party on these. Glad you already snapped them up because as you said, bloody beautiful! As for the stencils, are you sure?? Because yes please 😅 I almost got some from the One Air website, but the shipping was like £50 (3x the order total) and that wasn't inc customs and taxes... wow, i'm so surprised by how beautiful these are. the quality... and relatively cheap too??? i'm always apprehensive buying from amazon, but i absolutely need these. honestly could not pick a favourite 😭. would love to see some designs including these in the future, i was wondering if they were fine to layer as well? with two colours? great vid as always 😊😊.

Right! So, I layered a couple when i first got them and they layer well. I just wasn’t into how it looked colour-wise, but finish-wise, they self-level very well. For sure! I’ll post a design or two using these soon ✨ Thank you for watching 🫶🏾

I've actually got a few different cat eye gel polish sets... One of my favorites is a neon cat eye by this same brand they also have one that's supposed to be cat eye/reflective glitter and I really like that one as well they are both 12 piece sets you just need your own black gel for underneath

I also like the adult coloring books and they have a bunch of really cool ones I'm currently looking at the black felt pictures that you color.. but they include like 4 marker's and you don't see them on the shelves as much anymore.. so I'm thinking about getting a mandala or skull poster to color 🤣..

Yes, this is gel polish so you should cure each layer before adding another

I posted a short and a longer video showing these against a light pink base. They still show up really well, but these polishes do have a dark grey base so I prefer to use them against darker colours

Yeah, it’s not great unfortunately. I use any of the other black polishes in my collection, I have one from DND, Madam Glam and Kiara Sky. Any of those would work well 🙌🏾
