In episode 74 of ‘Cars, Shops & Collections’ we visit Ed & Kathie the original owners of a 1967 Camaro RS!
Join us as we explore the incredible story of Ed and Kathie, a couple whose love story began with this 1967 Camaro RS. This classic car has been a symbol of their enduring love, having shared their lives together for 56 years!
In this video, we'll take you back to 1967, when Ed first bought this stunning Camaro RS. Just two weeks after he brought the car home, fate intervened, and Ed met the love of his life, Kathie. Little did they know that their lives would forever be intertwined with the iconic muscle car.
As we hear Ed and Kathie's heartfelt anecdotes, we'll get a close look at their beautifully preserved 1967 Camaro RS. This car has witnessed their love story evolve over the decades, from their early dates to family road trips and now, as a cherished member of their family.
Be sure and check out other episodes of “Cars, Shops & Collections.” Every week I feature the stories behind classic cars and the people that own them.

@@EdwardMcCormick-mg8fj that factory AC is not an easy job to install like mine too didn't come with it . In 73 I also bought a 65 convertible GT mustang and in 74 I bought a 71 AMX With a 401 torkflight auto what a beast it was , AMX was sold in 77 and the mustang was sold in 99 and I can't get rid of the Camaro and is in the trust to be handled to my son and never let it go.

Have had my'67 Camaro SS350 convertible 48 years(Only 10 when they came out in '67)! Purchased it in May '75! Dated my wife in it, went on our honeymoon in it in'80! Still runs and drives like new! Rebuilt the 350(Camaro exclusive in '67) in '78! went through the muncie and changed the rear to 4.11 posi! Tach still works! Also bought '87 Grand National new in Jan '88! Also own '68 Mercury Cougar(wife's brother bought new) with 428 cobra jet with ram air! Have the original window stickers on GN and Cougar! Had to replace radiator last year after 55 years service! Love the first Camaros!

Very interesting to hear that the car sat on the lot that long. The car was born the first week of January, 1967 and sold in October. Very interesting. I wonder if it was just hidden? Absolutely gorgeous car!

@@CarsShopsAndCollections I think there is a video here of a 1967 Yenko Camaro that sat in a showroom and sold either late 1967, or early 1968. Ironically, also red.

Too bad he didn’t check off the box for the Z/28, then it would be worth lots of $. I wish painters would stop painting the bottom of the trunk lid when they add stripes. It’s not a Mustang.😂 The black vinyl top would make the red pop. I think he wishes he ordered a 4 speed cause he can’t keep his hands off the automatic shift handle. 😂 Maybe all automatic on the floor drivers pretend. That cam sounds like it’s not meant for the street. You can hear it. When I met my wife in College in 1973 I drove a 1964 2 door Chevelle with a 283 2 barrel carb with auto transmission on the column. In 1974 I bought a 1968 Z/28, british green with white stripes. All 67-69 Z/28’s were 4 speeds. No automatics were available until 1970. A friend of mine is the current owner of my 68. I’ve bought several old and new Z/28’s and my current one is a 1970 non RS Z/28 4 speed which I purchased in 1981 from the original owner. It came from the factory with cranberry red paint with white stripes. I ran into the original owner a couple yrs ago and he asked if it was for sale. I said no but told him a friend of mine owns 2 70 Z/28’s but he said he wanted his back.😮

I’m constantly using the slap shifter in my Challenger! I appreciate you watching and I think it’s great that you can still see your 68!
