My grandma had one of those mini cast iron skillets and I think it was actually an ash tray, but she used it as a spoon rest next to the stove. I don't know what happened to hers, but when I found one at an antique mall I had to have it, and even though it wasn't my grandma's I think of her every time I use it!

I looove the wagon ! Your mom should put an off white cover in it. You could decorate it for each holiday and put different things “ driving” the wagon. Elves for Christmas, bunny, scarecrow pulling pumpkins, leprechaun pulling gold coins and gnome etc pulling put it outside on your porch or landscaping. Put the word welcome on the side. Hints the “ welcome wagon” Super cute 🥰

The curved flat stones are used by potters to burnish the clay once dried before firing to give it a smooth finish. Often used by potters who for their clay by hand and not using a potters wheel. Native Americans who do traditional hand pottery know of this technique and use it.

Oh man, I wish I had been there with you. I would have bought that doll buggy in a heart beat. There was so many great things there, I could have stayed all day. I like Jill's idea of using that cooler on a stand over a plant nd use it to add water as needed. If your boys don't like the idea of the bed pan, you could hang it on the wall as a planter. Put real dirt in the basin part and plant some kind of trailing plant in it and water it through the other part. LOL. The little skillet reminds me of the one they sold a few Christmas's back with a chocolate chip cookie mix in the package with it. What a fun time...thanks so much for taking us along. You could use the wagon & its trailor as something to put yiur smaller house plants on/in, they would be cute that way. Or put smallee knick-knack things like that small fry pan in it wuth a mini quilt & a bedroll & a ciuple of your gnomes decked out like old time miners... Use as a front porch scene for folks to look at 😁

I have one of those cute little cast iron pans… I use it on my wood stove and put nice smelling wax melts in it. Make the house smell lovely

Also, my niece is a nurse and has a bedpan just like the one you found, she used it to plant outdoor succulents in😂 Looked like a great garage sale. TFS

I would take that wagon, let your mom make a cover for it and put it on the shelf. That’s what I would do. You could even put some fake flowers or some thing else in there. A little mini quilt hanging on the side with tiny little pots and pans like you get for a doll house and you could do a whole scene of the pioneers making the trip across the West to Wyoming like in Yellowstone 1883. That is a great garage sale.

Your Mother did exactly what I do when I really want to buy something but know that if I put my hands on it, it will be mine, she put her hands together. I would be happy to be with you at 7:30 too. In NJ, there was this firehouse, that did a community yard sale every year for the benefit of the volunteer firehouse. I always went, and always found some really cool stuff. I still have sweat shirts bought new with tags on them, down here in FL, and I bought a vintage (1960s) electric blanket. I cut the cord, and just used it as a regular blanket. It had never been used, but with wiring that old, no way was I going to plug it in. You can find the best stuff at these kinds of sales.

Not sure if the mini skillet guy told you, but Lodge had diddy ones like that for the salesman to show, when selling door to door, way back in the 1800's. Great finds at this garage sale. 👍 Our UK Carboots start at 7am too. TFS LOAD, & take care too. ❤🙂🐶

Bocce ball is fun. You basically just roll the ball and I think whoever is closest store has the most balls that are closest to something or everline I can't remember I've played before but it's easy and it's kind of fun that's basically like rolling a ball and trying to get it in a certain area. I feel like each team has like three or four balls in different colors. I'm sure they sell cheap sets places. Or you may come across a newer set someday that isnt from the cival war era. 🤣

You could do a spring/ summer tea party video. A lot of people do a tea party theme for baby showers and bridal showers or a mothers day tea and they also will do it for little girl birthday parties I think that tea spoon would be very pretty in a video making some tea party treats with the dining cookbook. Or saying some ideas and recipes you could use for little cookies or sandwiches or dips etc. And how to do it easy and frugally.
