Wow, what a great day. When I was a kid and I went bottle digging with my dad the aqua bottles were the best. We would take a cardboard box and line the whole inside with foil and place bottles in it, in the sun and the bottles would turn darker aqua and we even ended up with some beautiful purples. 😍

The visual impression of the snowshoes on the mossy ground = Toddler walking in Daddy's way too big flip- flop sandals! LOL Lovely finds and so many!! My faves are the two peacock colored bottles and the Gordon's gin 'shaker" bottle ! Stay safe out there!

Bloody hell you Magpies are living up to there reputation of luck. The finds just keep on coming in bigger and better. My special bottle is the little scent twist which would have had some sort of rubber balloon to puff the scent or powder on to ones neck or where ever. Keep em coming. Cheers 🇦🇺........

I live in Carlisle Cumbria and our local cricket club is being dug up by the archaeology team Cumbria, Roman baths, they have volunteers helping to dig & clean the objects and then they will be on display at the our local museum " Tullie house " opposite our castle, The cricket club has been flooded several times over the last few years. The dig has to be done, before our local council are going to build flood defences walls, the cricket club is right next to the river Eden. They are hoping to get the dig finished before we have a heavy thunderstorm and lightning.

That really was an epic haul guys !! I do love that ginger jar and am astonished it survived intact and with so much of the decoration still very visible. Jackpot day guys!! The joint best items were the ginger pot and that beautifully frosted cocktail shaker. But all those other bottles were a close second, such a variety of shapes and colors. That ginger pot certainly stole the show but I also found the french acid etched bottle pretty interesting as well! Glad to see you still droning in on some of the smaller finds such as the pipes and that perfume bottle. (That's my guess towards it's identity anyway.) All in all a great hunt, great video and best of all stellar finds! I've asked once before but perhaps it was overlooked or wasn't something to be discussed but I wondered if there was a story behind any of your tattoos, Josie?

I'm stunned!!! GREAT Finds! Contact Gordon's Gin and see just how much they'd pay for that shaker. I bet it would be worth a good dollar... They'd want such a rare piece of history back in their own annals of Gin History.

In one week My hubby, 2 dogs and I go on a 3 week treasure hunt around the south/east to south/south to south/west of Western Australia..... We can't wait. We won't be squelching IT for obvious reasons.... we will be rocking it! LOL

I really like the small round spiraly glass piece. I was wondering if it could be the bottom of a decorative oil lamp or maybe a fancy perfume bottle. Love your channel!

Whoa! That was a massive haul of beauties! I really love that bloodmixture bottle, the colour is mesmerizing! The Gordon's cocktail mixer bottle was also great. My Dad had one of those in his drinks cabinet, I think it's from the 1920's or 1930's. The snowshoe idea was good, but the squidgy mud is not good for them. The depth of that mud is amazing, I can remember seeing a video when you sunk a long stick into the mud, it's a bloody good thing it's not quicksand. Thank for posting this epic day of mudlarking!

Hello James, it sure was a good one , thank you. Someone suggested we need a different design of snowshoe that is more stringy or mesh like as this will reduce the suction but really not sure as not familiar with snowshoes, are you ? Take care😀

What a fabulous lot! Lovely ginger jar, shame the snowshoes didn't work, the cocktail shaker is very nice, this area will keep you going for years, all depends how much storage you've got!! When we look back at your earlier videos let's say at Newhaven it's chalk and cheese. So glad you've found this excellent spot. Keep me coming. Oioi, the midweek bottle fix is very important, to us glass and stoneware junkies
