One of my favorites is the album version of Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) by Green Day, where Billie Joe messes up the opening chords twice in a row before muttering “fuck” under his breath. Apparently, it was intentional so the song would have a light hearted moment before a song with an emotional background.

Ozzy in Flying High again was suppose to say "oh no" once ,but double the vocal,but being ozzy and drunk,he says Oh no ,twice ,instead of doubling the vocal. So it's no butt piano,but it is a mistake that was left in! And became part of the song!

While recording my band's first single in 1990, the singer had his hand to his ear, and thus his digital watch right by the microphone. The watch beeped every whole hour, and of course that happened to be when he did his singing. However, it so happened that the "beep-beep" was not only in perfect tempo with the song, but also in tune! My personal favorite “mistake” that was left in the recording of a song comes at the very tail-end of “Cathedral,” the brief 1-minute solo by Eddie Van Halen (RIP) Supposedly, the volume knob that Eddie was using to create the effects for Cathedral broke during the recording, and you can actually hear the song get softer towards the end, and the producers turning up the gain very slightly to compensate. In a way, it’s kind of like the magician revealing his secrets, or getting to peek at the man behind the curtain (in a musical sense)!

It's so good to see your face. I'm sorry it's been so tough lately, and I hope that things are starting to look up. I can definitely emphasize with you. My mom had major surgery on her lungs on the 8th, and it's been rough since. She's on the up now, thankfully. Some of these I seriously just thought the mistakes were part of the song! Especially the Pink Floyd one. I definitely think there should be a part 2 of this video! You could even do one where artists intentionally put hidden explicit things in their songs to see if they could get it by radio edits. It was super common for many bands in the 50s/60s to record all in the same room (or at least everything but the vocals). They probably did a few takes, depending on budgets, and decide to go with the one with the mistake and likely couldn’t comp it out with the other take due to differences in the performance.

In 'I Saw Her Again' by The Mamas and the Papas, @2:42 he starts singing too early, hesitates, then comes in again at the right time. So it sounds like 'I saw her..........I saw her again last night', but it actually fits the song so they kept it in.

On Beatles’s ‘If I fell’ from ‘A hard day’s night’ album, on the minute 01: 45 McCartney lost his air when he is singing a high note and it’s really notorious. A fun fact is that in the movie from ‘A hard day’s night’ they sing ‘If I fell’ but in that part that I mentioned they fixed that mistake

Kurt Cobain hit a bum note in the solo for Man who sold the world, on Nirvana unplugged. He styled it out so well I didn't notice until someone pointed it out to me. I still add that wrong note in if I play the song myself as I'm so used to hearing it now. It is just part of the song for me. I think the moral of the story is if you play a wrong note just roll with it.

Barbara Ann was recorded for an album called Beach Boys' Party! All of the songs on there are recorded in a relaxed, jovial way, designed to sound like a party atmosphere. "The producer", for anybody who knows music, was quite obviously Brian Wilson, who was known for his perfectionism in the studio, so he'd be the last person to put a song together in an untidy fashion.

I never noticed a bad note in Roxanne. But I'd always noticed the laugh, and thought it was on purpose. Like Sting was just enjoying himself recording the song, or threw that laugh in there to make it sound more jovial.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Steve's vocals at 8:58. As a tenor, those notes are extremely hard to hit. Much respect deserved Steve.

Another mistake left in by the Beatles is the beautiful ' *If I fell* ' ; at 1:45 Paul McCartney falls short of the harmony with John Lennon.

In the song Let It Be, Paul McCartney plays a wrong chord at about 2 mins and 58 seconds into the song. However, Paul said to leave it in for authenticity. So as a result, this chord has been carried onto all remasters and mixes of the song.

The Beatles 'Please Please Me'. Slightly on first verse but notable on third. 'Last night I said these words to my girl.. .Why/I/know/you/never/ever/even try girl etc. Perfect lead by Lennon and straight perfect high one note by McCartney but one of their very early attempts in studio with perfect vocals as always! :)
