Two things make my blood boil - the arrogant driver who doesn't like queues, so drives up the outside and then forces themselves in. And the trembling ninnies who let them in. I get as close as safe to the car in front and move forward in sync. Several times the cut-in drivers have got closer and closer to my car, then bottle out. I was pleased recently to watch half a dozen drivers behind me take my cue and the vehicle was left stranded for a long time.
What dash cam was used to film the VW driver on the phone? Made cars look like something out of a 1960s movie😊 vehicles looked really narrow and very tall. Weirdest I’ve ever seen!
I just don’t get why people drive the way they do, behave the way they do all to gain a few seconds on a journey and even just to sit in queue, a few cars ahead! They have to wait anyway?! It blows my mind 😂
The VW only passes the skoda after the crossing so no it was not "a very serious offence". Here's the relevant law. ZPPPC 24.-(1) Whilst any motor vehicle (in this regulation called “the approaching vehicle”) or any part of it is within the limits of a controlled area and is proceeding towards the crossing, the driver of the vehicle shall not cause it or any part of it- (a)to pass ahead of the foremost part of any other motor vehicle proceeding in the same direction; or (b)to pass ahead of the foremost part of a vehicle which is stationary for the purpose of complying with regulation 23, 25 or 26. Was the VW "proceeding towards the crossing" when they overtook? No.
2:26 Beware of careless drivers, yes perhaps, but also be on the lookout as in this case, for taxi and delivery drivers and the like who look a bit lost and looking for an address.
Know it well. South Chingford area, going clockwise (east). I'm not against ppl using the left hand lane to undertake, because many drivers are what I call happy lane motorists. They sit in one lane oblivious to what is happening around them. London traffic is so heavy now that any opportunity to make progress is good IMO, providing you don't drive like a maniac. 20mph zones are contributing to the rise of zombie drivers, reducing the skill of too many people.
Remember- VW and Audi are the same cars. Audi A6 is a Passat. Audi A4 is a Golf. A3 is a Polo, A2 and A1 are VW Up. The drivers tend to be the same, too...............
Tesla owner here... I overtake you...BECAUSE I CAN! These "Oil burner" cars are dinosaurs now. My Tesla makes your petrol/diesel car look like a sit-on lawnmower.
I ride motorcycle. Sometimes drivers get upset when i pull to the front at lights. I always say to them after you mate. Then at the next lights i ask is it ok now to pull infront. All in a very.nice voice. Passive aggressive im told
