I just got back from my grateful gratitude walk at park with my dog. I needed it. I've been very depressed lately. Even canceled my psy appt. Finding out and facing reality really hurts. Having hopes and dreams knock right out of my hand and being told some people never get their dreams met, threw me for a loop.

I am grateful for … when I started this a few years ago when I go to bed and /or waken, I thought I only had a few things to be grateful for … now I could go on for an hour or so being grateful for what I have, even all those tiny minuscule things that bless my life. The more I do this, the more I realise how much I have and may take for granted and I don’t mean things in monetary value either. It certainly keeps me positive and appreciating my life. My husband died quickly and unexpectedly also, was driving on Monday and dead Wednesday morning - been, as you know, a tough adjustment to being in the house alone. I miss him terribly and always will, friends and family are wonderful and I am thankful. So many of us in this position, as one of my quilting friends said “you have joined a club, that none of us want to belong to” we had 58 years I am thankful .❤️

I am grateful for my health and my life, no matter how small it is, or big it is. I never realised that there's people out there dreaming about having the life that I'm living even if sometimes I would be not happy about it I would remind myself that I should be thankful and grateful that I can see I can walk. I can talk. I have a family I have a roof that makes sefe I have clothes that makes me warm I have food that makes me well nourished these tiny things people don't really think about much because it's in our daily life and it's normal to us while at the same time there's people out there dying of hunger or they don't have clothes that covers their bodies and don't have roofs that makes them feel safe. We should be grateful for all these things, because in my religion, when you're thankful and thanking Allah (God) for the tiniest things, he will give you even more blessings. and because we're used to these tiny blessing in our daily life we often forget about these blessing, so I'm grateful.

Last October I missed being hit by a tree that fell on the road by just a couple of minutes. Since then I've started each day feeling grateful for the chance to live another day. It puts it all in perspective. I find it essential to practice gratitude each day and from time to time will think of something entirely new but taken for granted. I am so grateful for everything each day. And even grateful that I am so grateful! Lol Years ago a boss told me I didn't need to say thank you so much. I told her that I can never be so thankful enough and will never stop. Needless to say I left that job to keep happiness in my life. It was the right thing as I look at everything that happens is meant for a reason from above. Life is as amazing as we view it. Being positive and grateful in life is the only way we can live happy. I am grateful for being alive. These are not just mere words. My both brothers died from Muscular Dystrophy quite young. My sister passed away from a stroke at 45. At 63, I have a daughter and grandchild. I live in a decent place, not perfect. No, everything isn't 100%. But to be here still to try to have a good life is a blessing!
