I was at TJ and the cashier asked me if I was vegan. Since I didn't have any animal products. I said, "yes." And he starts asking me for how long and bla bla. I told him that I was vegetarian for like 7 years and then became vegan. He then pretty much calls me hypocrite...he said he went straight into veganism and that vegetarians are hypocrites because they still contribute to animal suffering. He had a higher than thou attitude about that. I mean vegetarians are pretty much halfway there and it is easy for them to be vegan...but he insults them...Vegans are what diacourage people from going vegans.. I didn't see him at that store ever again and I go there a lot. I bet he mad people mad. That is why I call myself plant based.

I don’t judge people for being vegan, but when my cousin and his vegan wife invite us(my family) over to eat at his cookout, I hate saying yes. Not because I don’t like vegans, if your vegan it’s whatever, I just hate fake meat, that’s the only thing I hate about vegans or vegetarians (not the person, the act itself). Some people view it as a life style or a righteous way of living (I don’t agree with that idea) luckily my cousins wife views it as a healthy lifestyle (I think by choice). Personally I do feel bad that animals are the majority of our food sources, but being healthy doesn’t just include vegetables. Meat plays an important role for our bodies that maintain pH and fluid balance. Either way, too much of anything is dangerous.

Every protein we need is found in the plant kingdom and that is an undeniable fact. Why have so many vegans survived years on plants only and many have demonstrated blood panels showing more than enough protein streaming through their blood. Many nutritional organizations have determined vegan diets can be nutritionally adequate for all stages of life. Remove those blinders.

I think the point may have been that if farmers develop the technology then they won’t get left behind so to speak. A lot of people say “but animal agriculture farmers need jobs too”. Essentially developing that technology will give them a job. Not necessarily my opinion but I think that was the idea he was trying to get across 🤷‍♀️

cy-one Well humans are omnivores so we take important nutrients from both meat and fruits/veggies obviously. Unless that artificial meat had the same nutrients and proteins that real meat has, it’s pointless. Look at vegans. They need to take supplements since they don’t eat meat because they’re missing crucial nutrients that they would get from meat. Vegans who are inexperienced tend to look like they’re worn out, pale, unhealthy skin and hair almost like they’re sick because they don’t do veganism right. People need both meat and veggies but I understand how it’s be important to be able to clone meat or the entire cow but I’m sure that’s expensive as shit. There’s something I found out about that apparently tastes better than regular meat. It’s called impossible meat, it’s vegan but people say it tastes like real beef but better. Some people who aren’t even vegans prefer impossible meat because it tastes better. I haven’t tried it but I’m planning to soon.

He's not talking about cloning the cow. Meat cloning is a technology that managed to clone what composes meat and replicate it pretty much ad vita aeternam. The thing is that it's very new, fairly expensive and not popular yet. But he never said to clone cows, just their ADN to create meat.
