I've gotten a handful of questions about freezing these buns. They actually come with a card stating that because these buns are made fresh and don't have preservatives, you can and should freeze them if you don't plan on using them within a couple of days. According to the card, freezing and thawing WILL NOT impact the taste or texture. Also, because UnbelievaBun products are baked fresh and do not contain preservatives, they only ship early week to avoid the products getting stuck in transit over the weekends (which would cause them to spoil). So, orders will most likely ship the first part of next week or possibly the week after, due to Thanksgiving. As for the cost of shipping, expedited shipping (to avoid spoilage) isn't cheap, and it gets more expensive the further you are from the UnbelievaBun bakery. It's unfortunate, but it's a reality.
Not to take away from your program or this new resource and evaluation of this product, I just watched a KetoTwin stuffing recipe made with an alternate brand. I wonder how they compare and am curious if you have tried that brand in the past as well.
Definitely good to know! I was wondering about freezing them since I don't eat things with buns all that often. I noticed the price drops the more you buy, so that's a perk. If you think about it, the cost isn't that bad compared to going out to places like Five Guys for lunch. My husband went a couple months ago and his single order trip was close to $15.00 for a burger... so a buck or two for a bun isn't horrible. Thanks again!

When I first began 4 years ago, I was excited and telling everyone. Those who do not struggle with weight management or what they eat, don't have a clue. it's the same with this as with many other issues of life. Just smile and move on, and I usually keep it to myself anymore. 🙂

Steve 😭😭😭…. These came this morning … I made a Turkey and cheese sandwich .. I’m a brittle type 2 diabetic … I started testing every half and hour … my total BG rise was 8 points … I’m so happy .. the only other bread that didn’t spike me sky high was unbread … and I think we can all agree that doesn’t taste like bread at all …. You have helped me in many ways since starting your channel .. but I’ve never actually cried before .. thank you so much ..

OK Steve. I ordered 2 packs of the hamburger buns and one pack of the hotdog buns. Took a few extra days to get here, but that is OK. I was pretty skeptical. You are metabolically healthier than I am, so I was not sure about these buns. I wear a CGM so I can see changes due to what I eat. I first started with a chili dog using the hamburger bun. There was an increase of 3 points. Nothing really. Next day I had a hamburger with one of the buns. I had a change of 8 points (insignificant). I did have cheese, grilled onions and mustard on the burger. Plus I had jalapeno bacon and cream cheese poppers... Tonight I had a similar burger with the bun, 4 olives and garlic and cheese stuffed mushrooms. Again, a change of 8 points on the CGM. All 3 meals scored 100 in the Nutrisense app. I would not have thought that was possible. Also, the buns freeze just fine. I was a diabetic for 20+ years and am pre-diabetic now with really good fasting insulin. Thanks for finding these. I hope this company stays in business.

In my mind, this is a game changer for me personally... I have been eating Carnivore but always missing bread... Love you and your channel and how you are straightforward in giving reviews etc etc... I will be watching more of your videos... sauces and such are all ruined with sugar and excess carbs when you read labels at the grocery... it's just insane how sugar is put into everything...
I agree. It’s also so hard to find no salt or even low sodium added products. Wish food manufacturers let the cook decide on how much added sweetener & salt we individually need.

Got my buns today. I had an un-toasted bun with some tuna salad on it and some pickle slices. It was a pretty mild taste, but the protein in the buns and the tuna filled me up fast despite the fact that I was active today. I'm making Steve's burger tomorrow with a toasted bun. Can't wait for that! Note: I decided to come back and add something. I just realized that I don't feel bloated or stuffy like keto breads normally make me. I didn't realize how bad the others made me feel until I had UnbelievaBun!
I've been purchasing these Unbelieva Buns and Breads for about 2 years. I LOVE them and now even more so after your test. They are so good, I could just eat them by themselves. Only problem is that they are nearly impossible to find. Publix has them once in a while but never keeps them in enough stock. I've found them in the no-gluten section instead of the Keto friendly at times. Thanks, Steve for this great review.
I’ve learned from your reviews that the majority of these “bread” products spike the glucose, and when I was keto, not to trust any of them. Need to get back to keto, fell off the wagon, gained 30 lbs.

That's nearly $2.25 per bun. I would love to give these a try, I'd have to negotiate with my better half and even then, it might be just a one-time splurge purchase from her perspective.

Great video and outstanding process using the glucose monitoring to verify the impact of the bun on your BG and ketone levels. I noticed that in addition to hamburger and hot dog buns, they sell their version of all purpose flour, sliced bread, and flatbread pizza dough (the sliced bread and flatbread dough are sadly sold out right now). I hope they send you some of their other products to review. :)
Ordered a two pack of hamburger buns on the 20th, got an email today stating they are two to three weeks out on all the orders. We're Working Hard to Get Your Orders Out Due to the large volume of orders we've gotten from Steve's followers, your orders will most likely take 2-3 weeks to ship. We only ship early week to avoid the buns getting stuck in transit over the weekends, which would cause them to spoil. Unfortunately, with Thanksgiving being this week the only day we could ship was Monday since all orders have to ship via 2-day priority or UPS 2-Day express, so that has set us behind. Additionally, we bake fresh batches weekly versus baking large batches and freezing them for months at a time. Lastly, we use a contract bakery where we bake our delicious breads. So, because we don't own the bakery, we're at their mercy on how much and how often we can bake. We have to work around their production schedules. Because of all of these factors, orders are getting pushed out and delayed longer than normal but we think it's worth the wait. When your order ships you will receive an automated email notification that includes your tracking number.
Steve, im a long-time watcher/subscriber. I love your videos, the fact that you have such a stick-to-it attitude even though you are alone in this among family who are not following the same type of lifestyle. I have been living keto for a few years now and have modtly been fairly dirty in my choices. I am almost 70 and am eaten alive with arthritis. I have days I can bsrrly move. I always freeze my bread, buns and bagels. Since I'm the only one eating keto, they last longer for me. A local restaurant chain used to have an option to add an Unbelievabun to burgers, etc. The cost was only $1 so I didn't mind the upcharge. Sadly, they no longer offer them. I really liked them and miss them. Now, I just take a low carb bun to the restaurant with me.

Steve, I just want to say that I appreciate that your end cards don't obscure your face. I get annoyed when videos aren't fully over and their end cards hide most of the video. It's especially annoying on cooking videos when the final product picture is obscured. So, thank you for how you construct your videos! And thanks for this review. I am a bit gluten sensitive, but the idea of having a burger on a regular bun instead of a chaffle is exciting!
I took the plunge and bought some hamburger and hot dog buns. With shipping, this will come out to $1.75 per bun. Compared to what I would pay for a righteous burger at a proper burger joint, the cost of these makes it doable for me since I will be grilling the food myself. If I were to dine out, I'd easily pay $5 -$10 for a really good hamburger. I don't believe I will make a habit out of this but, it will be fun to enjoy some burgers and dogs on a real bun now and again. Thanks for the info and video!

Steve, I respect you and your channel. All the foods you reviewed, I'll never see. Our Lo carb life here is very different....although we have some Lo carb sauces and Mayo's on the shelves,some Lo carb wraps, it all tastes gross. Love to live out vicariously through you❤😂
I have had these buns a few times. I find if you properly toast the bun before adding your condiments makes all the difference for maintaining Texture.
Finally! A commercial bread that replicates/uses Deidres low carb bread recipe!! I've been baking my own but my kitchen got destroyed from a water leak/mold problem so I've been stuck for months.
Thanks for reviewing. I'm still anxious about how processed food affects insulin. Hopefully, the ketone response is an indicator of that. I'd really like to see a continuous insulin monitor. Of course, there are also the wheat ingredients, but we have to figure out where to draw our lines in the sand. PS: Interesting about the inflammation.

Hence my disbelief along with yours, that the claim from years ago that freezing bread would remove the carbs was bunk. If it worked we'd all be eating frozen bread by now.

Before you accuse a keto/low carb bakery of robbery, compare the price of the ingredients in this to the cost of all purpose flour. It's about 8x to 10x.
I have wasted so much money on the other buns of other companies and the products leave me less than excited about eating them after the first try. So, I just ordered these because I trust you Steve and you haven't let me down yet. I will let you know after I hope is my last foray down the rabbit hole of Keto Buns. Also, I have made just about every recipe for Keto bread on RU-vid and all I got out of those were dirty dishes and lost money on ingredients. Let's hope these are a hit!!
