Wow I’m just surprised how damn good my iPhone XR is with camera quality. I expected the 11 to win but the Xr was surprisingly great. Now I just feel more optimistic about my iPhone XR camera!

As of last year, the XR was the best value quality phone. Only to be beaten out by the SE this year. There may be some androids with better specs, but IOS and accompanying apps are often more streamlined. I use cheap androids coz' if they get stolen, it doesn't hurt. :) Who cares. Advantage of a cheap android that Iphone can't beat. I do get 2nd hand cheap Iphones too but I use them exclusively for photography and videography. Did you know how good the mic is on an Iphone?

Not bad, But not worth upgrading from my 6s. Yeah I know on paper this thing is the perfect upgrade for people like me also on a budget, But I was hoping for more this tome around from Apple! A new SE has been on the cards for a long time and was expecting a special treat for their budget customers but... Not really. The A13 stuck into the 8 basically. Nice idea nice phone for the money but not a nice enough upgrade for me. I'll wait and save some more over the coming months and get the base iphone 12 which looks exciting for the price!

I watched on my iPhone 11Pro Max. I clearly chose the 11 50% of the time and the SE most of the rest of the time. Probably only picked the R once. Sometimes the pictures that you choose appear a bit fuzzy when you didn’t pick the 11. The 11 almost always seemed the sharpest to me. Excellent video. Shows that the SE is certainly an excellent choice if you don’t have the bucks but you need a decent camera.

My scores: iPhone 11: 8 iPhone SE: 3 iPhone XR: 5 Still impressed by the camera of the SE though since it has inferior hardware between the three and yet, the results of this test showcases how it can keep up with the other two iPhones all thanks to the computing power of the A13 Bionic Chip. I will buy the SE most likely, can't beat the price for what you get in my eyes, specially for what you get with the camera. I'm not too fazed about the size either since I plan to use the SE as a secondary device alongside my massive Note 10+. I like the Android OS more (just my personal preference , don't attack me lolol) since it offers a lot of software customizations but with that being said, I won't hesitate to admit that iPhones are better when it comes to cameras and long term software support. Super stoked to get my hands on the SE for sure! Update: I ended up getting the iPhone 11 after testing out the cameras in person in the Apple Store loool

Sharpness is usually an overhyped thing as if u are using ur phone from 4 by 5 of a foot then u will notice no difference between a 300 ppi and a 500ppi phone. Also i said SOME 500 dollar oleds and also when note 10 came it was not even close to 500 dollars. Lcds of apple are of great quality and can beat the oleds found in many of the 500 dollar chinese phones with oled. Also AS OLED IS A PENILE DISPLAY so the 500 dollar phones lose on colour accuracy as companies have to maintain the costs. Also i am not an isheep cause almost every 500 dollar samsung phone screen is better than the xr and i admit it but not the chinese ones.

It’s software what makes the difference from last year. My XS used to capture very poor low light shots but now it’s bright and surprisingly good.

Unless you use the night mode extensively, SE looks like a great option. With the A13 in there, Apple can push further updates and make it better.

Fun test. It's a good way to judge without prejudice. Seems to depend on scene conditions. If only apple weren't lazy with the SE2 and gave it a newer sensor . Imagine the XR sensor with an A13 chip ( might not fit into 8's chassis, or is apple just getting cheap on us?) the Original SE had the current gen camera (6s at the time). But the SE2 uses a sensor 2 gens old...

Great comparisons Max Tech 👍. My picks were all over the place also, but the 11 prevailed due to the automatic wins with the wide angle and nightmode photos. Compare iPhone 11 nightmode/deep fusion vs iPhone SE 2020 with neural cam 3rd party app nightmode on dim indoor and outdoor night photos. Blind test of course for more fun.

The easy guess for iPhone 11 on the pictures is clearly the white balance. How? Look for the more yellowish picture among the three. 👍🏼

I got SE:5 11:8 XR:2 SE has a much better camera than XR. Just because XR has a better battery life doesn’t make it a better phone. The chip is almost everything in a phone. That’s why Apple leads in iPhones. The only reason iPhone 11 took slightly better shots is because it combines the chip in the SE and the camera sensor in the XR which is not much difference to the iPhone 8 camera sensor. And what makes the SE and 11 take better pictures is the second generation smart HDR, which the XR doesn’t have. It only has the first generation smart HDR. The SE was mostly second place so that’s why they didn’t count the SE that much

I also disagree with many choices, the SE has more natural color, the 11 and XR are just a bit too cool, but you have those phones so you’re used to it. Also, they are sometimes too close to call one better than the other, sometimes that’s just going to vary by opinion.
