Super helpful video, especially pointing out which side usb port is for data… I’m really not patient enough to read instructions and would have missed this entirely!
I think that second error-message you got from brew was due to a somewhat subtle typo: You asked it to install wifi_coconut, which is the name of the program, but the package spells it wifi-coconut, a - vs _ thing.
Nice video, I've got a Macbook Pro but I'm an absolute Mac noob so I just run mine on the Ubuntu war-driving rig. When you doing the external antenna mod?
*I HAVE A QUESTION!* Haha. So. Ok. I am NOT ur typical "noob". I put together PCs on my free time, I love learning and tweaking PCs to get the most out of them. Troubleshooting, etc. Now, I am trying to expand my knowledge as I feel like I am more at the top tier in those fields by now (and other fields but u get the point). I have been going back n forth with "Pineapple or Coconut!?" I work in a healthcare setting where MAJOR classified documents are just blatantly throw everywhere. As I know the best would be to get the "turtle" or something that goes to our printers as they are GOLD MINES for info. And when I do a pentest WOW they are going to freak out (and give me a higher salary!) But what I need is the best UI so I can easily use Gitbit or whatever and just copy/paste or even click a button to do certain things. After watching ur video, it "SEEMS" like the best bet might be the Pineapple as I saw a few quick snapshots of the UI and it "looks" easier to get around. I want to be able to be a middle-man attack, grabbing usernames/passwords, and everything ppl are doing on they're respected PCs Which do u recommend considering I am limited with this? Would you recommend the Pineapple for the same reasons as I stated? I WANTED to get the Coconut bc it seemed like I could just "plug and receive info. But that seems like it might not be the case bc of the UI and lots of setting up that the Pineapple might be a better option? Anyone feel free to chime-in as well! I'd love to hear anyone's feedback! Thanks!
So i got the Wifi Coconut up and running on my Mac Mini M1 without any issues but do have a couple of questions which I'm hoping someone can help me with 1) I figured out how to send the packets to Wireshark but wondering if there is any way of doing this REALTIME ? 2) Saw someone on Twitter who had a Wireless NIC directly connected to his Wifi Coconut. Is this workable and will it kill my warranty ?? 3) I'm about to try using Kismet with the Coconut. Is it better than Wireshark 4) And lastly whew sorry for the pain in the buttiness LOL but are there any step by step tutorials using the Wifi Coconut as yet to find one. I want to use it to pentest my wireless WIFI Thank you thank you thank you PS Don't hack me LOL
