I kinda miss the alternative builds. I get nostalgic seeing these old sets, but I must admit modern airplanes are more to my liking. More detail, bigger size, a bit more realistic.
I also like alternative builds, but the sad thing is that you have to figure it all out yourself. Manuals almost never describe an alternative build! Maybe it would be an idea to put manuals for old sets on the market with guidelines for alternative constructions!
Nice video's, I have always been drawed to lego sets prior to 1998. It became very ugly from then on for a long time. I like the old designs, small but packed and very clean and open to your imagination. 4 stud wide vehicles and very cohesive with other sets.
Thank you for your nice comment Nick! Every week there are 1 to 2 new videos of Lego sets, supplemented with a possible third video of something else (Playmobil, TMNT, Thunderbirds, .....) Thanks for watching! Greetz Henry
I recently discovered that this set had been in the collection given to me years ago (ending my dark ages). Many key pieces are long gone, but the plane and helicopter are complete. Makes sense as LL-6482 and 7722 were instant discoveries right after receiving it.
Does anyone know, is this the biggest single set as far as the number of baseplates go? Has there ever been an official Lego (town/city) set with more than 5 baseplates?
