They are really growing on me! See what I did there? Sorry... The dad in me couldn't resist. I love that they grow in my window sill and are so easy to propagate! Cool plants!

Awesome video as always, they are so beautiful and as soon as i saw the Pinguicula Ehlersiae i fell in love. Id love to have one ^^ but i havent seen them in the netherlands where i live and i cant find it. Well except on like american websites. But im not sure if its a smart idea to buy one from there and let it ship over all the way to the netherlands. Do you think itll be ok? Or is it better to just wait until they will come to the netherlands?? :)

That's a really good question. Crossing so many different possible climates could be an issue. I think if I were you, I'd reach out to the nurseries that have overseas shipping as an option and see how they feel about it. It's something I have very little experience with. I'm sorry. I have a bunch of Pinguicula Sethos coming soon. Maybe I'll check into seeing how much it would cost to ship overseas. Maybe we can work something out!

very nice Pings, some of them I have too, they look very beautiful especially when they flower. However I dont like the bare rooted shipping, you have to pay then for the soil and pot extra. Also repotting (mostly in different soil as your seller, stresses the plant,too. The free gift is nice, I know also several plant sellers that do this (like Diflora from Italy).

Ya, bare rooting does put a little extra stress on the plants but I still prefer merchants that offer both. I like using my own substrate. Another good callout is probably that pings receive a bit less stress than most plants due to their small root systems. You almost just put them right on top of the soil, which helps them not be as stressed. Although, changing of environments is always stressful on plants. No matter the kind. My experience with Rainbow was top notch and I will definitely buy again!

@@CarnivorousPlantsHub yeah you are right, using your own soil is sometimes quite good. And Pings are anyway easy, although I recently got a P.primuliflora in sphagnum moss (bare rooted) and put it in new moss and a few days later the leaves went brown and dead. So I was pretty sad as I didnt do something wrong. Wouldnt happen if the Ping was in a pot already.

It's possible that the change in environment killed it. One of mine aren't doing so well right now. The others are doing awesome. I just put a bag over it hoping the humidity helps. Changing lighting cycles and humidity can be pretty hard on plants.

I still have no pings 😥 however most of my flytraps, pitcher plants, carnivorous bromeliad and Drosera are doing very well! Some of my Drosera are flowering. Especially my D. capensis and D. venusta have flower stalks and thinking about crossbreeding them!

I have a bunch of Ping Sethos that will be ready to sell soon. I didn't really intend to sell them, but they are doing so well, I'm not going to have room for all of them. Maybe I'll list them for sell here soon as my first official carnivorous plant for sale!

@@CarnivorousPlantsHub Can't buy anything right now. My mother has threatened to throw anymore plants I buy in the trash. To bad your not in Florida close by I might be able to hide it. She will notice a box coming in the mail.
