Hopefully you found out but there is hole down the fork on the left for holding the scope grabbing the scope in the middle it’s bad you can brake gears like that.

ein tolles teleskop was ich auch habe,aber auf einer anderen montierung.das in der gabel wiegt schon 26 kilo.da muß man sich schon vorher schlau machen :-)
$1500 is not a lot of money! He should've just buy the 9.25" OTA, only 20 lb and an GP EQ mount, much easier to set up or move. Also, he can use other OTA's on the EQ mount, like an APO refractor for planets. SCT's don't all ways work, seeing dependent, too big central obstructions 35%, that's why called general purpose telescopes.
szaki but what if you don’t want an eq-mount (convinience or if you can’t see Polaris from your observation site like me?)? Are there alternatives with az/el?
@@Mickymauserius Use rough alignment on Polaris than computer goto align on 2 or 3 stars. Back in the old days, without GOTO, one had to use drift alignment on a bright star using a cross hair eyepiece or finder. Also, Southern hemisphere don't have Polaris.
