After saving, and saving, and saving...it’s finally arrived!! We had an excellent experience ordering from Sweetwater Music. Also, the “Cameraman” plays bass!! Check out this cool Collab!! • Who Wrote Holden Caulf...
Close, it was delivered a few days after Christmas. He’d been saving for a year and Christmas provided the final few bucks for him to be able to order it.
Jew Adolf well, that’s not a great idea. I want this guitar so bad that I went to the store and buy the right-handed one. I asked if I could take the same strings and put them upside down, and the guy said that it’s not a good idea. The pick-ups are made for right-handed people and the tension of the strings at the headstocks will be bad and will make the neck bend to much.
@@yrackaz8540 I think its more the bridge being set up for right handed strings that would be the problem. You could get it to work but it'd take ages and its not really that worth it
Yeah but it wasn’t like, his signature model. He just helped design it. The catalogs didn’t have any relation to him, they just showed off a rad, offbeat freak of nature.
GambleFabrications huh? I mean no but he would purposely make things out of tune because that was the punk In him.....there are some things though that you can look up that are out of tune as all hell lower keys bad singing.... it’s not a bash every rockstar does it he was just the best at doing it
GambleFabrications but I mean bad figuratively it was always an experience my parents played with nirvana back in the day just before they hit their peak and he was always a comedian like that
Things We Said Today I never made the claim they accidents don’t happen, or that Kurt wouldn’t intentionally do things such as play out of tune if the crowd was pissing him off. But people just keep repeating this same idea again and again, gets old.
GambleFabrications I think it’s good to repeat this same idea again and again because music should never be perfect it should be felt 😂 I don’t know who you’re trying to have an argument with or why but if you want me to play you the worlds smallest violin I shall
Little late but I’m happy for you kid! I hope you still have it. Looks like a very nice guitar and Sweetwater is a great place to buy from. I am very happy you chose that guitar. It’s something a lot of us players don’t buy but probably should. I don’t exactly like strats anymore and love tele’s but a jag seems to be right in the middle of the road.
Marlon Hester Loving it....only complaint is having to tKe the neck off to access the truss didn’t adjustment. Not the end of the world but a bit of a pain.
Just to add : I've had this guitar for like...8 years now ? Still amazed by how nice it sounds. It's an everyday moment of happiness for me to pick it up and pull those surf licks
I like how everyone’s like... “he looks like kurt” While in reality he really doesn’t, he’s just got the same hair style/colour but that’s it. Or is that enough for someone to look like someone else? To have a similar haircut? XD
Yeah i have a long hair like that and I'm often called Kurt Cobain bla bla bla you look like him even though I don't I just have a long hair. So yeah that's common.
It's crazy, back in the early to nineties when all the bands where using them, you couldn't get jazz masters or jaguars. Fender hadn't made them since the 70's. Sometime around 1995 they got smart and started producing them in Japan. It seemed like more than ten years since the rise and fall of most of these bands did they finally start making the full line from custom shop down to squires. Talk about missing the boat Fender.
@@Wymansan19 oh really? I just remember seeing Kurt's sketch of it... lol... the "jagstang" I think or was it jagstag, either way, I cant believe I missed that seeing how I learned guitar off Nirvana & 311 & Pearl Jam just all those killer bands... too many to mention!! Oh & dont forget Green Day, power chords all the way!! Anyway, thx for letting me know
@@Wymansan19 course I bleed 311 so a strat or Paul Reed Smith was the only 2 electrics I wanted back then... I just thought after his murder they never got to it... learn somn every day!
They did make it. My friend has a red Jagstang. It sounds amazing and plays amazing as well. It’s a great guitar man. You could probably find one used for $700 or $800
Hope you've had 2 years of pleasure so far playing this & that you keep it forever. I've lost so many guitars in pawn shops but only visit them now to buy guitars. Stay safe D.C. Stomp on that distortion pedal & make some noise man! All the best from Liverpool U.K. Home to a lil known beat combo you may have heard of? Lol. ;) Turn it up to 11....that's one louder! My amp goes up to 11. ;)
it is a great guitar man, i got the same NOS in 2014, first i was confused between the road worn and the NOS, tried them both and felt like getting the NOS
Wow, these comments are ridiculous. I'll admit, a few were funny. But I enjoyed your unboxing. I thought it was really cool to see someone so excited to check out their new guitar. Their first "new" guitar. That's awesome. It's a super nice guitar too. Kurt had great taste in guitars. I have a daphne blue Mustang. I hope you enjoy it and have it forever.
I was lucky enough to buy an original 66' Jag with a modified Gibson bridge (more stable) and a Gibson Humbucker in the neck. When I was 16 for $1,000. (Thanks Mom)
@Dream Gary No, I worked and saved for it and my Mom was working 3 jobs to support us after my parents divorced. SO....there's that. Save your judgment Gar bear
Did it come with a certificate of authenticity? Just curious because I bought one too and had the magazine and other items as well just not sure if it had a certificate.
@@andrewcorman8188 yeahhhh good use of that moneyyy 😎👍 Those things will out live us for sure ahaha Enjoy every bit of it! I still love mine every time I see it even 9 years later 😂
Being a fan off Cobain, and finally improving financially, I'm going to grab all his mains, straight down to the 69 comp. That side, as a player, so I don't risk DMG to the 69, I'm simply going to buy a production Japanese model, something Cobain himself did at times. Lock the bridge and do a hotrail swap.... You'll get exact in utero tones, and it's more diverse than his in utero tour guitar with the jb, handling the old material far better.
you are ridiculously beautiful and we can tell you are very proud and excited to receive the instrument! enjoy brother, it looks like a killer instrument
