I bought the dark grey cloud version and it is really a beautiful watch. Great looking on the wrist. The detail in the clouds on the dial are perfect. A unique timepiece for sure
I just don't like the colour of the dials on all three look weird. Maybe it's because it seems metallic/shiny on a heavy textured dial. I probably wouldn't have minded the white dial too much, but the gold accents throw me off of that too. However, I really like the bezel and it's great to see new GMT watches with a 24h rotating bezel, as many new GMTs just slap a fixed 24h bezel. It would also be nice to see this in a 40mm or under. In any case, Islander still makes some great watches but I do feel like sometimes they miss the mark on their dial designs.
And yeah, not much to complain about on a crisp Northern LP autumn day with smoked lake trout ten minutes in any direction and a Lions victory just days ago.
Weather has been perfect for working outside. Never really gravitated toward smoked fish, it is good though. Lions….who is that? I stopped watching when #20 left
All of Marc’s named watches are named after a town or place on Long Island in New York. JFK is John F Kennedy Airport so all the watches are cloud themed dials and appropriately has GMT function for travelers. Pretty cool idea if you ask me
lol crying about the watch not being unwrapped. I mean dude, the amount of fat of your fingers means you probably need a bit of physical exertion anyways. Other wise, decent review.
