Thanks for sharing! Your efforts do not go unnoticed so keep it up! I have an 800 gallon pond and was looking to add 2 additional unique Koi. East Coast Koi Imports seems as if they will have what I'm looking for. I just sent them a message via FaceBook to inquire about pricing. Again, thanks for what you do!
Marvelous Marv that’s awesome to hear! Bobby will treat you right. He’s a nice guy! I also appreciate the positive feedback and it helps with motivation to keep going. See you around and good luck on your search for the perfect piece!
Markdave Koi Reviews thanks a bunch! The Gin Rin Ochiba(looks like a sorogoi from above) is now part of my personal collection. I couldn’t resist! Be sure to subscribe to see the next batch!!
Thank you Jessica! The person I got It for was very happy with it. The gray ones are Sorogoi and closely related to the Chagoi. The other ones with brown marks and gray base and Ochiba Shigure and they are cross of Ochiba and Chagoi. Thanks for stopping by and subscribing!
I thiught you would have floated the bags in the actual pond to acclimate temperature. Then open the bag in the tradfer bucket? Im new to the koi pond worldAnd have seen a few release methods so far. All were different. Lol? Nice fish andponds you have. Thank you for the cool videos
Sometimes I float the bags if temps are extreme but the temps of pond and bag were very close, so it was ok. Many say there is a 10 degree tolerance but I try to be under 5 degrees when adding fish to new water
Loving the Platinum Koi 😆 So wish we could have Koi in New Zealand, however it is illegal to have them here. I do however have about 100 Gorgeous Goldfish 😆
@@garymiles8095 probably easier to google New Zealand Koi history lol NZ did have Koi and were released into our then pristine waterways. They bred and took food from our native fish and muddied the waterways. The Koi that remain are no longer Koi. They have reverted back to Carp and have become a major pest. If you catch one, you must kill it. NZ is very big on Flora, Forna and Native Species. I've given you a small glimpse of why 😆
That’s a shame a few had to ruin it for everyone else. I have read some people in Australia have been able breed some good fish from what’s available since it’s also illegal there. Any chance there are a few in NZ doing the same? I appreciate you commenting and subscribing! Hope your luck turns around on finding some koi!!!
That was ammonia remover. The built up ammonia becomes toxic when shipped and when exposed to new air. It binds to the ammonia instantly making it safe.
Clearly some beautiful koi in that batch, particularly liked the Kujacku and Ochiba! Fantail are not so popular with Koi keepers here in the UK as they appear to be in the US! Would be so much better if you could improve your camera quality as the definition is not that good and a lot of the details are being lost. Think it would benefit your channel immensely!
Thanks for the insight on definition. I’m looking into why it’s coming across that way. It’s filmed in 4K and transferred in 4K and may be getting lost when uploading to RU-vid. Many Americans like the long fin and the Japanese have dubbed them “American Koi”. Only a few breeders there carry them and it was rare to get one from there.
Cape Fear Koi Hope you get the video quality sorted, is the problem with “RU-vid”, because if it’s all 4K at your end maybe it’s getting “lost” with them? I think your right, the butterfly thing seems particular to the US! Personally I’m not keen on them, they never seem to move elegantly in the water which for me is a big part of a koi’s beauty!
