In this episode of Beer & Watches I review the #swatch #bioceramic. I purchased this on 5th avenue in New York. The goal? To get a Swiss, Ceramic Watch fro under $200. The watch came in at well under $200 at the Swatch store. Question is though, is it worth the money?
Well in this video you will get all these answers and more as we go together to buy the watch, then unbox the watch and finally do a FULL, unbiased review of all the watch specs good and BAD and trust me there are a few bad points! BUT, does the good outlay the bad? See what you think!

The all white model looks better than I expected to be honest, never paid much attention to it in stores. Got the mustard skies model myself, big & mostly bright yellow. I love it as something not so serious compared to the rest of my collection.

Swatch makes good watches. I bought my 14 year old daughter a Swatch and it started her love of watches. I just bought a Seiko 5 SRPE57K1, put it on a brown leather strap. Absolutely love this watch. Great review.

You know Swatch kinda started my love of watches back in the 80s now that I think about it. I forgot all about that. I had a Pop Swatch. That Seiko sounds nice man. I am really digging the look of the Seiko 5s

Hi Matt,nice to see you back on form. Got a couple of Swatch watches good for just grabbing and going, then pop into Swatch shop when new batteries needed. The one you just reviewed is a bit on the large side,so will check out if the others are a little bit smaller. See you on your next review.

@@zimtage1744 you do know that ceramic is just a kind of stone right? I've seen pictures of an expensive ceramic watch that cracked just because the steel screwdown caseback was tightened too much. I would much prefer carbon for a black case.

@RJ I've seen shattered sapphire crystals. Not sure what your point is but Rado has been making ceramic watches for years and other companies are jumping in with some really cool offerings. Maybe the watch industry should hire you as a consultant before they make a horrible mistake. After all, you seem to know more about watch design than they do

Brilliant to have you back. Fascinating watch, I suspect that sustainability element is going to become seen more often in the future. Swatch, as ever, are getting ahead of the game. I liked the look of the watch but would have to go for a colour that wouldn't show up the dirt. Great review 👏 👌

Good to see you back on here Matt! As per usual another brilliant video.. Love the watch but as you say the dirt factor is a thing.. Maybe if you have something like Jif or Cif as its called now in the UK it might clean it up a bit

Good seeing you back mate (and seeing 5th Avenue) . I'm not one who goes weak at the knees at the mention of a Swiss watch, but I do love Swatch. Love the 80s vibes. As you say sometimes it's nice to have a fun watch on your wrist. Had that particular wheatbeer numerous times. I remember first wheat beer I had was in the Black Forest in Germany many years ago and I had no idea what I ordered, just assumed it was a regular beer. When it came out in a big tall glass and cloudy I thought what is that! But loved it ever since. Enjoy the Swatch

That was a nice vid Matt ! The watch sure is not my cup of tea BUT it was good to see you with a beer altough it was a bit strange (the beer). A banana, lemon, orange zest aroma beer, whow we don´t have that kinda stuff here in old Germany

It's a great looking watch but I 'd find it very hard to read and would go for a darker colour for sure .The w/r is a bit disappointing when its rival the Casioak is 200m

I remember when swatches were 40 dollars. That's when I was in middle school. The last one I bought was 80 dollars and that was around 2009. I wouldn't waste money on them because the last one I bought was garbage compared to the ones from the 80's.

I am a casual Swatch collector, i have over 30 pieces but nothing crazy like what I have seen. I just cannot get into these, way too big and clunky. I like 41-44 or so for case size and the depth is distracting. It'd be nice if they brought back the X Lite series

Happy to see you back in the watch saddle! However, I have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of Swatch watches. I bought one for my wife many years ago and couldn't stand the unnatural and forceful..almost aggressive TICK..TICK..TICK..TICK. Give me an old pocket watch that has an 18bph tick.tick.tick.tick and each tick has a bit of a ring to it. Or if i hold one of my higher beat movements to my ear and it puts me to sleep.

Yeah that Tick Tick is pretty aggressive. I do agree, it's a lot nicer coming from a vintage pocket watch. However I am one of the few that kinda likes it on a modern watch. It's comforting to me. Not sure why

Love the switch funkyness mechanical quartz is defo unique Would buy one if tad cheaper only coz for same money (£) I can pick up a more tool like diver .... but its a Swatch u need at least one in the collection ...I have 2 😁

I wish wristwatches were still popular, even with smartwatches it is still not the same...the cell phone killed the wristwatch. At one time though, everyone had a wristwatch.

I like the watch but unfortunately too large for my 6.75in wrist 😕 that said, I would like to add a Swatch to my collection...thus will be taking a look at their catalog.
