I knew you would spot things I missed. Completely overlooked the type of servos in my video. I think triple review was too much. Super excited for your assessment.
This kit looks like some care and attention has been put into it, enough thought has been put into it that you can build and set up the chassis from the box 😍
Greeting from adelaide australia, i come from fpv drones and never been interested in rc cars. After watching your vids ive ordered a 989 to mod and have some fun
Well, with wheels, tyres, body and battery excluding the transmitter it'll be about 300 Euros. That's the minimum you are going to spend on this car. Not that it's much difference than other RWD cars in this scale though.
@@BeaversHobby Admittedly to me it looked like that car had many differences out of the box.... for the better. Lol. How long have you been waiting for one??
i wonder if these kits are made different now cause theres some parts that dont look the same to me. i never built a drift car i only built a scx24 and i feel inow that i got it i wish i would have done something different cause its like 30 percent assembled
Hi. I am interested in getting this car moving to 2WD drift from Kyosho 4WD drift. It’s been a while since you reviewed this, how does it stack up to newer micro drift chassis from other manufacturers? Thanks.
In terms of driving it's just a bit below DriftArt 2.5 so it's great even in today's standard. But durability is not good. You'll need some aluminium upgrades to make it decently reliable or full chassis upgrades with adjustable wheelbase chassis to make the best use of this wide chassis format. Speaking about money, you'll need like $300 to make it a good and reliable chassis.
It depends on which R34 you are looking at. If it's Mini-Z R34 then there's little chance you can make it fit because it's 94mm wheelbase with narrow track width. If it's 1/24 scale model R34 then the wheelbase should be around 110mm, still not what K989 can do originally but if you mod it to RWD you can extend the wheelbase.
@@evanwillard2811 I have compiled a list of bodies and wheelbases. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v2sVg072T2Xl4tvEEy_E7kiDdmen-gRIWWm-pIp1VXY/edit#gid=0
