I've never been a big fan of skeleton dial/open worked watches on the wrist. In pictures they look great, but on the wrist I don't like to see the skin and wrist hair. It's distracting. This watch solves that problem in a very interesting way. Great design and execution.
Big fan of Akrivia since the begining! And we can't forget that they got rewarded last year at the GPHG with their Chronomètre Contemporain (RR-01) after only 6 years of existence!! Bright futur for the brand
Love that, so much better than full skeletonization that is typically overdone (with few honorable exceptions like the latest Breguet Ultra-Thin). The zero seconds hand reset should be a standard in the HH industry. Surprisingly, it seems that only the fairly underrated Glashütte Original from Germany has perfected it (with not only seconds hand zeroing but also minute hand setting on full minute markers), and Panerai has it spread throughout the collection. Many top brands don't seem to bother with hacking, not to mention zeroing.
Happy Birthday! I will admit that the finishing IS excellent on that piece and the shape of the case is very nice, but in terms of dial execution it looks like a mess. There's no flow or continuity to the design of that dial. It looks like parts were dropped on it then hands were added. Just my opinion.
An interesting dial design, quite steampunk. But a stunningly beautiful movement finish at the back! Reminds me of Laurent Ferrier, only even better it seems.
TheWATCHES.tv its so hard to remember all the names for things in all the watchmaking languages, even english and american is different when it comes to parts. I live the struggle everyday learning the german ones haha
J’ai eu le plaisir d’avoir en mains cette montre lors de la soirée organisée récemment par la chaîne. Une pièce vraiment remarquable. J’avoue avoir spécialement apprécié le boitier, d’une forme originale. Très réussi!
You dont know me. But im your biggest fan. Your passion and genuine purity is unmatched in the horological press. Theres something so endearing about how you deliver content on the watch industry which is void of any pretentiousness. I hope to meet you one day
Happy birthday Marc. I'm soooo sorry. Dopey me forget to get you a present. In a couple of weeks' time when it's your birthday again, send me a gentle reminder and I'll get you a present. :-)

Thank you for all of the wonderful hard work you put into this channel, it is exceptional and you are one of the finest presenters in this area that I’ve ever seen, thank you. You always make it a pleasure to watch your interesting and informative videos on the finest of horological piece and your love and excitement of them is very contagious. Thank you for giving a little gift to me for your birthday tho it should be the other way around. Thank you again and again, Happy Birthday Marc
I love these series and how you start with saying it's your birthday. Brings so much joy to me, Marc Andre. Akrivia is such a fine brand and a very good one considering how young it is, along with its founder of course. Rexhep Rexhepi model to me is the best watch they have created, it is simply sublime.
