The tuf design is quite nice! hope that tuf f17 will soon launch i9 13900h 4090 or 13900hx 2k membrane configuration 16:10 240hz .

Been using the 2022 model for almost a year now. Really impressed with how they dealt with the heating issues in the 2021 models. Plan on upgrading to ROG series but damn these things depreciate so fast!

@Denisse Harder I've decided to get a PC. It's way better for gaming. It costs only a little more than a ROG laptop. The parts last longer and can be individually sold in the used market for pretty reasonable prices. For my daily usage, I've decided to retain my TUF F15 with an SSD and RAM upgrade and a dust cleanup.

@@mrpratham77 Thermals are significantly better compared to last year. Although you might wanna take some precautionary measures like using eco mode for low power tasks and ultimate mode only for gaming, using a laptop stand with in-built fan and cleaning the fans every 5-6 months for maximum life. Especially if your model has high end GPU like 3060 or 3070 because they produce much more heat than lower variants like 3050 and 3050ti.

Cause could be anything, including overheating because it is not properly cooled. Be sure to get a stand with a built-in fan if you haven't already by now.

RAM and SSD only. Easy to do. Swap RAM when the machine is off and done. SSD can be cloned into a bigger drive using Macrium Reflect 7 Free Edition or Samsung Migration if you buy a Samsung SSD.

Please do not make any future versions thinner, these machines need better cooling, so the extremely disingenuous "thinner, thinner!" mentality seriously has no place among gaming/workstation laptops like the TUF, Dash, and ROG machines. Please prioritize proper cooling a little more. Y'all hit a great note with the aesthetics of the 2020 TUF A17 and A15, maybe take more inspiration from that instead of the more minimalist designs of newer TUF and Dash models? But above all else, please stop trying to make them thinner!
