To train the next generation of military pilots, Pilatus developed the next generation trainer: the PC-21, designed and built specifically with student pilots in mind. With air force budgets under continuous pressure, the PC-21 provides a cost-effective and highly efficient training solution. On the PC-21, pilots destined to fly fighter aircraft do not need to transition to jets until much later than those flying conventional trainer aircraft, reducing cost and training time. To achieve this, Pilatus significantly expanded the design and performance envelope to take this single-engine turboprop into an area that was, until now, exclusively the domain of jet trainer aircraft.

I am very excited about this build. I have been looking at the PC-21 for about a year now. Undecided as to which one to go with though. Skymaster or Tomahawk-aviation PC-21. Beautiful plane there!

What do you use to buff out those marks in the paint? I just got my first skymaster viper jet and it has those mark as well

You can leave it but if you want to get rid of them you can first try buffing the clear coat with a pad and appropriate compound but it may require wet sanding of the clear with very fine sandpaper and then buffing afterward.

Boy that is a pretty one! Merry Christmas to your Customer! Merry Christmas to you as well! That will look very nice sitting on the flightline next to the TwoDoor! 😜 as you were unboxing the prop, in the back of my head I could hear Tim the tool man go ohh ohh ohhh!! Anytime you get a knife out and go to cut the packing off I cringe! So when you sped it up I was freaking out! 😳🤣🤣🤣👍 Whoever sprayed that stab got the gun too close to the surface. The pressure just blasted the paint and pushed it around. It looks too deep to buff out. I would contact them about it. Maybe you could purchase another one and have it on the way while you return this one. Then they could credit you on the return. 🤷🏼‍♂️ good luck! 🍻

HAHA. Thanks Michael. Based on SM history they won't do anything regarding the fit and finish of the kits so it's generally a dead end. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!

I have done the Electron Conversion….using the ER50 reversed 16mm trunnion…the nose need to be modified ….and I’m only using a MKs747 for steering….I also eliminated the door cylinder for 2x jr 3421 (older HV servo I had) I’m the air brake with A low lost valve…

This one is to Pay for the Cloning of you. When are you going to have Time to Finish House, Jet Shop and Building Jets and Airplane building and repainting A10 ?? That is why we need Two of You. lol. I have done a Sebart PC-21. Not even in the same class of aircraft! This skymaster is leaps and bounds better than the Sebart kit. Focusing on the Huracan now to completion!

So, is this the Christmas gift you got from the family? LOL. So do you go over the whole aircraft before you put each piece together? I noticed maybe a hair line crack just before the engine mount. Maybe nothing though. I did notice the bubbling of the clear coat on the aircraft itself. I think you will be able to wet sand that stuff and then polish it after wards. Very nice aircraft. You and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Hello James. No it's a build for my friend Stacy. He was the one in the video. Yea once I get into the build I will go over everything and take a close look at everything. I haven't taken a close look yet but I'm assuming that it has a clear coat on it which as you mention we should be able to buff out the dimples. Merry Christmas and thanks for watching!
