I have the DECOY set, but I've only sampled it so far. I also have the DEADLINE set, which is also in my to-watch stack.

This is our second "Are we getting old?" moment this week!

I popped in one of the discs and, unfortunately, there are no subtitles and no alternate-language tracks.

I published the vid before the HD version was done processing, so it *should* look better any moment now. (And yes, this is a DVD set.)

I mean is the Lost World episodes really compressed to get them on fewer DVDs than the original release. Thanks

@kurganwins oh, I gotcha now! I literally JUST unboxed it & did that video, so I've not watched it yet. But a good question! Maybe i can do a lil comparison of the old vs new.

I'm curious as well.

@@nathanmiller2626 @kurganwins Man I dunno...I pulled up a random episode (Season 1, Episode 17) to see what it looks like. I usually watch old-school TV DVDs on my smaller sets, but I checked these on my 65-inch to amplify the flaws. The old Image set has 4 episodes on the disc with this episode; the new Film Chest set has 6 episodes on the disc. There is certainly compression artifacting and occasional macro-blocking; but to my eyes, the new set looks the same as the old set. I ejected over and over several times to look at different scenes from both editions, looking at scenes with some distortion...and I just couldn't discern one being better than the other. For someone like me, it's totally watchable. It's probably the best we will get for it (you never know, & sometimes there's a surprise; but I'm not counting on a Blu-ray for something like this ever coming). If you're someone who is way sensitive about it, then your mileage will vary. I've always watched my standard-def classic TV-on-DVD on my smaller sets to cut down on image imperfections. This show is also currently free on Prime via Freevee with ads (here in the U.S., at least). So that is another viewing option. My guess is the same video masters are used there as well.
