I agree with the Sidi shoes having cleats a little far forward, I couldn't move the cleats further back enough for my liking. Do you have a full review of these already up?
Whats are your experience with this shoe since the last months? I want to upgrade from RC901 to RC902. But i am a little bit concerned about the sizing also with the wide version.
Did you add the 5mm when figuring your Lake size? I'm usually a 9.5-10, most of my cycling shoes have been 43, but for Lake, I'm a 43.5. I can't imagine how your sizing would also put you at that size. The Lake 238's fit me perfectly, the width is the defining factor for me. I don't have a particularly wide foot, but its wide enough that most narrow cycling shoes end up just a bit uncomfortable. Lake service have always been great with me.
Great question - I did. I've since gone to a local shop (local-ish) and tried on about a dozen lakes. I couldn't get any of them to work for my feet at all.
kept my bonts. surprisingly their sizing chart worked well for me however the second pair ordered in wide. wish i can say the same for shimano or giros. sometimes you have to play with your measurements. try adding a couple of mm to your measurements to see if you get a different size.
You know, the shimano dosh actually work out for me in the long run. But they work for the Boogeyman, so he's wearing them. I have another set of Bont on order. This time, rather than use millimeter sizing as they suggest, I just went with sizing based on my American shoe size. Since I'm close to an 11 in US shoes, I went with a 46. I felt like the 45 would have been too small since the 44.5 strangled my toes but they don't have a 45.5. They've at least been communicative though a little frustrating at times.
Lake treated me the same way...I did everything they asked and they wouldn't even send me a size bigger. It has been a big bummer really. I do hope Lake works for and with other people.
I called lake, had to leave a message, no return call. Sent an email, took a week for a response. When I got it, the message was underwhelming. Decided to go with Shimano S-Phyre at my local place.
