Only weak link on the Soundwave complete I think is the Sunday Freeze stem. They put some amazing parts, but cheaped out on the stem. So, I swapped it for a cnce'd Broc Raiford stem.
Wow I love that Sunday , I’ve been on 40 lbs tanks since mid school days , 03 hb condor pro , dbi patriot , I am this year 2023 going to buy a new bike Sunday or we the people , sound wave or a battleship maybe an envy
I own the 2020 Soundwave and the 2021 Battleship complete and I will say it's a close one. The Battleship feels and is heavy duty that can take some major street abuse. It's got a shorter top tube and chainstay. Manuals are a bit easier. The Soundwave on the other hand feels as if it's made for bowls and flying around in. So, depends on what you plan to do with it.
For anyone on the fence, I will give you my honest opinion and experience. I've had my billiard green Soundwave since 2020. I was 240lbs then and as a 45 year old rider starting new again, I did not know how to do anything. I wasn't a smooth rider and put the bike through the ringer as I was improving. Never broke or bent anything. I have had to true the wheels, change the pads, tires, grips, but never any parts. Not to mention, Sunday has always been a pleasure to deal with over the years. Best Bmx customer service IMO.
