I appreciate you showing us stuff that isn't always the hot watch. I tried that PR516 chrono on at my AD the other day. It is REALLY good. I loved it on my 7 inch wrist. If you've seen the original it's based on, they did a really great job of keeping the feel, while modernizing it in certain aspects. It is definitely on my possible pickups radar, but there is a lot of competition. I just ordered that Jack Mason Strat-o-timer GMT U.S.A. edition, so it will be a bit before I get another. The other Tissot being chronometer rated and at that price is a really good deal. I'm looking forward to seeing more on that. The Longines' indices throw me off a little, but that HydroConquest GMT has really grown on me and it's a solid value. Would I love if it was COSC too? Sure, but it would pricier. Those Citizens are really interesting. I kind of wish I was at Windup Chicago this week, because I would like to try one on. It's a no-nonsense field watch aesthetic in titanium. I love that super legible dial.
Great vid Rob. Love Trifecta and Jake. Definitely my go to AD. Purchased my Longines Hydroconquest GMT and Tissot PR516 manual wind from Trifecta. (The two that you have there, except olive dial on the GMT.) Both of them are amazing watches, and two of my very favorite.
The new Tissot mechanical chronograph is a brilliant piece. It’s the only chronograph/tissot I’ve tried on and actually liked but unfortunately I have no need in my collection for another mechanical chronograph.
