I was giggling throughout this video! Bless your heart for going through so much trouble. Buttercup was so sweet and entertaining, you could see her thinking "but I don't want to jump on you Fernanda!" I loved loved loved this. I would never spend $69-$99 on a pair of tights but this totally changes my mind because they would actually last! I kept hoping the Hanes would have a giant rrriiipppp satisfactory moment for you. Oh well! 🥰🤭
I know! I’ve trained her not to jump and the. She was like… wait jump?! After the fortune cookie she was like “I’m onto you”. I have to say it seems like the Sheertex have gone down in price, which is good! $69 seems to be the permanent price
Hello, I'm a guy and I look at videos like this from time to time and was wondering on something about the SheerTex pantyhose/tights, First off, if I'm going to sound creepy or something... I'm sorry. .....Does SheerTex makes hosiery without the crouch? I'm asking out of curiosity for the individuals who likes their parnets who wears them but when they wish to have their fun to not go overboard (if you understand what I'm saying).
Hanes and Sheertex are my two favorite brands. The way to determine which brand is more economical to wear is to divide the price of one pair over the number of times you can actually wear them before they fail. I used to be able to get Hanes Silk Reflections at half price when they were on sale on the website. Initially it was hard to get discounts on Sheertex. It was $99 a pair or nothing. Under those circumstances, it was cheaper to wear Silk Reflections, even though they were wearing out faster. Now it’s all changed. Hanes still offers discounts on their website, but not 50%. Sheertex offers discounts all the time - on occasion for MORE than 50%. That makes them the winners. However, there is still one catch. They don’t offer discounts on their nude colors very often. They claim they’re having trouble with them. So they are still too expensive. Hopefully this will change someday. Who knows? I liked your comparison video.
I now this may sound weird but I have a way to really test them Walk outdoors like to the store wearing Sheertex without shoes then the Hanes see which one last's longer.
Your stretch test Fernanda 🤣 This was such an interesting and entertaining video. Can not tell you how many times I have snagged and put a hole in the thigh region of my tights with my nails snagging when first putting them on. I didn't even get to wear them once! So frustrating, especially when the micro split in my nail hadn't been noticed until then 😖. I don't need to wear tights very often anymore but still $99 and you can wear them over and over...really appeals to me. Great video, thank you 😊
So glad you enjoyed the video!! I think moving forward I’ll wait for a coupon, but them, and then wear them for years. They are expensive but the other ones break so easy!! I should try some with the designs.
@@vazq_Fernanda Would love to see you style patterned ones 😍 I agree a coupon would be a good idea as $99 is a lot no matter how good they are, it's still a big initial outlay for tights 😉
I wish Sheertex made compression tights. I have to wear compression tights for a medical condition, and will spend $60-100 per pair and they snag as easily as regular tights :/ Great and entertaining product review! Love Buttercup's cameo!
@@vazq_Fernanda I haven't worn Spanx, so I can't say. But medical compression tights are definitely tighter than any regular nylons you will get. They are uncomfortable and annoying, but if you need them, they help. Medical tights have a number rating on them.
@@vazq_Fernanda That's so lovely. Friend The Cat (my tortoiseshell / Calico) chose me over ten years ago, and she is wonderful. And I think a couple of pairs of my cotton tights have been around a similar length of time. Admittedly that's not a straight comparison: different material, intermittent use, not as formal in the first place... But when they stop being quite as pristine, cotton tights make a good base layer under jeans for those with sensitive skin (i.e. unable to tolerate merino) and a cold climate. Afraid I don't know which brand.
Your a pretty lady :))) 🥰☺ Beautifullll.. Actually your one of cutest ladies/beautifulll ladies Ive ever known. 5:30 literally made my day. you look wonderrrrfulllllllllllllllllll, melted my heart. oozing like golden butter/jam on a piece of toast. made me want to cry, I LOVEEE, ITTTTTTT. Beautiful Creature/Being you are!!!!! that was truly just... Delightfullllll. you look, lovelyyyyyyyyyyyy 😭💔💘💘
Well done ! You certainly put them to the test. Back in the day when we wore pantyhose, it wasn’t unusual to go through several pairs in a week! Hanes were a good brand, and were sheer enough for special occasions. Tights were always thicker and more opaque and would last much longer. $99 is a lot to pay even if they are indestructible!
I usually wear fleece leggings im the fall/winter for warmth they do get holes sometimes (but not often) so I wear them under pants and skirts depending on how cold it is. Im in north central Minnesota. I like the black footed tights from target. They are $20 and Ive had the same pair for 3 years. I don’t wear sheer pantyhose much at all.
@@HeavydutyrocknrollI have a few pairs of CDR tights /pantyhose and yes they are very good my favourite ones are black seamed I wear with mules and also wear them for work, I do get plenty of wear out of them.
This is a great review! It's very thorough, comprehensive, and comedic. The comparison of the two brands is quite in depth. The Hanes brand really did quite well. Sheertex is a very good brand. It's quite pricey though. Lately, I've noticed that their price point is coming down and sales are frequent. I have several pairs. All have stood up to multiple wearings. Zero issues with them. My main go to hosiery is L'eggs sheer energy. It's durable, priced decent, and is a comfortable brand.
I've noticed the same thing about the price - that's great!! Especially if they last significantly longer than others. A lot of people are mentioning L'eggs! I have to get a pair to try them out.
Would these tights be OK to wear to the gynecologist? Or would they fail when having to take them off before spreading your legs on the exam table and putting your feet in the stirrups? Thank you.
